You need an electrician to do the wiring.

How big is the sconce? I see faint outlines higher up on the wall is that where you were planning on placing them? If you are going that high I would do one larger, two light sconce.

I would by sconces and use the battery/remotoe operated lights, live with that and then see if you really need to bother with that. to save DIY on something that could burn your house down I would hire an electrician to do it.

If you are not adding uppers I would not do any tile. You can't go all the way up because it look wrong with the arch. If you go a standard 18" it will look choppy. I would just paint it the same as the room.

What about open shelves

open shelving would look great but, I still wouldn't do a backsplash. Sometimes less is more. If you're worried about splashes just use a good paint.

I like those. Well we now have two holes for two sconces visually looks more even with two but I think they were Me too close together what can I do to now move them apart and still cover the holes that are there without having to sheet rock the whole wall I thought of adding a decorative molding or something to cover the hole now that we need to spread them apart a little like a couple of inches any suggestions would help

You can patch the holes and paint I would NOT put molding that just screams look at my mistake.
