Will chrome hardware and fixtures work with this faucet?
Comments (4)I mixed chrome and brushed nickel in the budget bathroom I just redid. I did it out of necessity: the lighting I found on sale was brushed nickel but I used chrome everywhere else. So I have chrome faucets and towel bars, and nickel lighting. I was worried it would look odd, but it doesn't. In your case, I think that faucet, with it's porcelain, is enough of it's own thing, if you know what I mean, not to feel strange paired with chrome elsewhere.... Too bad it doesn't come in chrome, though. I do prefer chrome for it's timelessness and bling :)...See MoreORB door hardware and chrome bathroom faucets?
Comments (8)I'm so glad I opened this thread. That is exactly what I'm planning. I like the sparkle of chrome near the sink and mirror. Plus it cleans up easily. However, I've had my heart set on ORB door hardware, ever since I saw those Emtek egg shaped glass knobs with ORB rosette. david c -- I hadn't thought about the overhead fixtures looking cheap in chrome. Now that you mention it, I think I agree....See MoreMixing Oil Rubbed Bronze hardware with Polished Chrome faucet?
Comments (9)I like mixing up metals. Visually more interesting. I have a display in my front window that has RUST hardware on the light alder cabinets, stainless steel range and a chrome pot filler. No one ever notices this until I point it out. If everything was SS/satin nickel look, it would not look as nice, IMO. I also did a kitchen, satin nickel hardware, white appliances and ORB lighting. It looks amazing too!...See MoreMatching Bath Accessories to Kohler Chrome Faucet
Comments (5)I should have clarified. I'm not crazy about the Pinstripe, my husband wanted it. I don't like the nuts and bolts look/shape. It's very prevalent in the accessories, more so than in the faucet. I especially don't like the Octagon shape of the towel ring. I would splurge on the towel ring since it's closest to the faucet, but I just don't like it. I was trying to find an accessory style I could live with that didn't completely fight the Pinstripe. Maybe I should go with another Kohler model for all the accessories. The Kohler prices are all over the place though. The Pinstripe towel ring is about $180.00, The Margaux is about $90.00 and the Devonshire is about $20.00. Who knows if the chrome will look the same on the less expensive pieces....See MoreDiana Bier Interiors, LLC
