what kind of caulk for vanity top next to wall?
Comments (4)Hey Tracey Strangely enough I'm a Sales Mgr for a sealant company (caulk opens me up for too many jokes, ha). First question, Are you painting over the caulk? Second, If you are using it near water I would not go with a Latex, because water breaks down latex and eventually you will have failure. Even if it says silconized latex, it is still a Latex and the silconized part is mainly a marketing ploy. If I were doing my bathroom I would use a product called Lexel. It is a clear(literally crystal clear) elastomeric co-polymer, so no ugly caulk line but all the same benefits of a silicon and it's paintable if you ever need to paint it. Also, it will bond to marble with out etching. My second choice would be a Neutral Cure Silicon, which is important because other varieties of Silicon are cured with acids which hurt Marbles and Granites....See Morewhat do I do for bathroom countertop? Comments (4)I do like the countertop choice. But I am also a fan of a less busy quartz countertop like this one. Still has the subtle veins in it, but it's not too busy for a bathroom. Plus I love the idea of a white vanity popping against the navy color the room. The sample in your photo could take away from the "pop" factor in my opinion. But I do think your sample is a beautiful piece of stone for sure. Good luck with your renovation!...See MoreCan i use Decorators White on Trim next to Dove White Wall?
Comments (23)I haven't seen it in person.... only in photos and blogs. but I think your best best is to just paint the walls in simply white eggshell....bc next to the simply white trim in satin or semi-gloss, they will look good. It sounds like you want a subtle difference in whites...and just the finish alone will give you a subtle difference bc of the sheen and how they reflect light....See MoreGE Cafe matte white or black fridge next to stainless steel wall oven
Comments (12)We ended up delaying our project, but plan to get two individual wall units (oven and microwave) in matte white and stack them. It's quite a bit more pricey, but it also seems the individual units have better features than the combo. We're also beginning to lean more towards cabinets that have a little color, maybe green or blue. Cabinets that aren't white/grey will probably enhance the look of the matte white finish (we got the Fridge and Dishwasher in matte white already)....See MoreHU-187528210
