Paint Design Dilemma

Simply white BM paint

We plan to paint our entire main floor - all open (kitchen, dining room and living room) with simply white BM. We also want to paint the kitchen cabinets with it as well. is this too much of the same color? Or should we go with white ceiling paint and a white trim? Our quartz is also a soft white and will also serve as a backsplash.

I have no idea and what is the wrinkly piece in the pic. Wall color is chosen at the end of a design not the now. First if new cabinets best to have a factory finish and that often is decided by what is available from the factory. If this is renovation then choose the cabinet color first , than the counter and BTW I would suggest you use white polished granite instead of quartzsince the quartz cannot go behind your cooking appliance . Once all the cabinets . flooring and lighting are in then you choose a wall color and that might not be white at all. Mixing whites is an art and can go very badly sometimes.

I didnt know this about tbe quartz backsplash. Would stainless steel just by the stove work?

Thank you amrad. I have the BM fan deck at home with weekend so that helps with visualizing the colors together. I should have mentioned that I will be repainting the now pale yellow walls to BM Hawthorne Yellow (well, at least I think that now, we'll see after the test pot goes up). Would that change your recommendation?

Test both in huge samples on your walls. All color varies with exposure and its setting. Nobody here has YOUR room or your house. Paint the whole wall. There is no better way. In fact, to truly know is to paint all four walls. Simply white is warmer, but can take on a yellow green cast depending time of day, and exposure. If you are trying to paint a dim room into the light? I never find that successful. Try a "color" versus white and yes white is a color. white is at it's best in lots of natural light, multiple exposures. . A primarily northern exposure generally is not that. A "swatch" is several feet by several feet, and on several walls. : ) Best way is LARGE poster boards and move them around.......or just roll. All paint needs two coats, anyway. Your trim choice also matters.

I had Navajo white in my old house, it definitely leans yellow. I’d be more inclined to stick with all white to play nice with all your elements.

If this is a remodel and you are Re Finishing Cabinets, I would Sand, Prime, Paint whatever color white you are interested in, NOW. It takes awhile.

All white is great, every surface looks different in different light, etc. I personally like all white. the accesories will bring in the accents. Layering in is the key.

What kind of range? Look into a back guard/riser for your range, we have quartz as a backsplash and the riser has been sufficient in preventing scorch marks. They have different heights, we have a 5” and it is fine. I never use high heat on the back burners anyway.
