Provia Aspect window reviews

I saw the provia aspect window along with a few other brands. I really like the look of the provia aspect. I also saw the endure by provia but thought the aspect was better looking while still maintaining a very high quality feel to it.

Anyone care to opine on the provia aspect series window? I know the pro’s dont like commenting on price but its 12 double hung replacement windows for $8200 fully installed including debris removal from job site. The company installing is highly regarded. We are located in the North East.

The Provia ” Aspect ” is a nice window with some good performance numbers. I also like it better than the Endure due to the Aspect having a more narrow frame allowing more glass. That said the Endure is also a pretty good window.

Your pricing for the Aspect is good. Keep in mind prices on all building materials are going through the roof and the induatry is expecting further price increases.

Have they all been to the site to review site conditions? Do they all include removal and disposal of the existing unit? Have any allowance been made to reframe the opening for RO differences? Will all be preparing the openings properly(ie: Sill Pan, Weatherproof wrap of the opening, backer rod and caulk, insulation as required? Does either quote state interior repair, spackle,paint and or trim replacement? Exterior finishing, trim paint etc? These questions call easily add the dollar amount you are questioning to the price. Sometimes you need to look at exactly what is not written on the quote as opposed to what is.

Thank you, WoW. We just had retrofoam company insulate the walls and bump out closet all around. So you think replacing windows would be an overkill now? Like I said, our current windows work fine, don't leak. Just 15 years old 2 pane vynil windows. The house itself is also 15 years old. We probably do need our patio door replaced because the frame is rotting around it. My husband is very hesitant to replace it during cold months because he thinks the seal is just not going to be good enough due to cold and contraction. He also thinks that people don't work as well during colder months and rush to get the job done. Will you agree with that?

This is extremely strange, not to mention very hippocritical. You said the exact opposite a few days back. Look at your very bizarre post you made a few days back. Did you happen find a job at a vinyl window manufacturer and you want be the new company cheerleader? See below. ”if you have wood, never EVER replace-pay to restore and maintain. Wood windows need maintenence, yes, but that is because they CAN be maintained. Current manufactured windows cannot BE maintained and have to be routinely replaced and dumped at landfill. Restored and maintained wood actually does not NEED to be replaced, is EXTREMELY valuable, and last hundreds upon hundreds of years because they CAN be repaired and restored. Wood window restoration (that has been maintained) occurs at 50 year intervals, so by the time your wood needs restoring again, you will have had to replace a replacement window at least ONCE. DON'T DO IT!!!”

I'm looking at Provia Endure inserts for 8 large double hung and a pretty big picture window. My quotes are vastly different, about $400 per window. Both from reputable local companies. I know prices are continuing to go up. Does $1400/window installed seem high? We are also looking at Okna and Seaway which are lower in cost. Possibly better, at minimum equivalent. I want a decent window with good performance numbers. Interested in opinions on price and/or the other brands we are considering.

My pricing is very similar to yours for the Provia aspect window. Im probably going to pull the trigger as well and go with that window. It seems like a heavy duty window that will out last us living here. I like the efficiency and the strength of the window but of course my wife who is all about the looks really likes it , so there you have it.

Just had 15 Aspect windows installed, 13 double hung and 2 casements. Liked the thinner frame (we upgraded to foam filled) because we have a colonial style house with tall narrow windows and wanted a quality window that allows maximum glass size. Approx $800/window installed including cleanup and debris removal. Installer seamed to take time to make sure everything was done properly. Fit is consistent and all window operate smoothly. 2 weeks after install, all is good, the real test is the upcoming Wisconsin winter.

The reason that window is cheap is is because it is cheap. I'll say that again, its cheap because its cheap. You aren't getting a premium window for a low price just because it has a respected name brand. As long as you are okay getting a lower cost window then its fine, then again you may as well just go to window world.

We have gone thriough two Wisconsin winters with the Aspect windows and all is good. Still keeping the cold and wind outside and still operating smoothly.
