Valencia that is perhaps too vigourous

My valencia orange that is presently in a 3 gallon smart pot is very vigourous. Its in its first flush of the growing season (it had 3 last year) it has 7 fruits on it and one that is rather large.
Last year my issue with the tree was a long branch that was akward and heavy for the root system. The root system is now much more solid but the tree leans a little bit, especially when the long branch is unsupported, its usually supported on a long Tbar. Hopefully it will be better when I take out the orange.
The new growth is everywhere, almost every leaf nodes, we'll see how the tree handles it seing as the trunk is perhaps as big as my pinky.
I'm wondering how everyone deals with overly vigourous trees like this one. I guess its a sign I'm taking good care of it lol.
