mirror on penny tile

Hi! I am looking for advice or suggestions on how to hang a 20lb mirror on an already installed penny tile wall. The penny tiles are 3/4” dia each. I have searched online but I could not get any details about installation on the already installed penny tile wall.could you please help me with detailed instructions.

What is behind the penny tile? That will help determine how to hang the mirror. Pictures on the wall with the tile on it may help as well.

Use the double sided tape intended for mounting bathroom mirrors and don’t skimp, use it on all sides.

how is the shower pan constructed, is It concrete? if not you may not be able to use tiles smaller that 2in. penny rounds have a high failure rate of being installed properly, tiles that small also require a Square space or else you can have unsightly reveals around the perimeter. Id look at "Can we install pennys" and how square is the space ill install them in. That may make your decision for you.

This is a challenge with both penny and hex tiles on mesh, unfortunately. Not sure that having him redo it would get a hugely better product if he doesn't know how to mesh the pieces together. It's not grouted yet, right? That may help a bit if you're careful about your color choice. The wall at the back of the first photo where there are three distinct chunks of tile looks more concerning--is that intentional? And is that a shower curb or something else? I'd probably redo those before the floor. The subway tiles also look odd in the last photo, but hard to tell if that is the camera angle or if they're actually not flat. (On a side note, though--I love your sink!)

This is how it looks. There is a tape on the penny tile which is where the mirror would come. I bought a central hanging mirror for ease of work.

@Kate will double sided tape work? Which brand would you recommend?

And then hope the tile is put up well or the mirror will end up broken on the floor. I would attempt to figure it the substrate and mechanically attach anchors to the wall. No way would I leave it to take on that type of wall.
