I think I would lean into the lighter pewter color as your roof line is so prominent over the entry of this very charming house. I like how the roof color plays of the tree trunk colors in the second photo, sort of similar to your trees.

Love the house. In what part of the country are you located? I like the gray but also realize the lightness or darkness of the roof should match your temperature range. Dark roofs are great here in Northern New England where any extra heat absorption helps in winter. Further south I would go with a lighter shade.

Slate or charcoal. If you're wanting a solid color roof as contrast with the multicolored brick, consider the colors available with metal roofs, too.

Other brands would, of course, have other colors. You mentioned you are in a coastal town so you might consider the "Zinc" color. You should look at the actual product before choosing any color but on my screen that Zinc has just a hint of a coastal blue vibe.

If I could add, you could take one more step and replace the shutters with solid ones that mimic window shape and do them in deeper gray similar to the new roif.

Gray for me, too. Agree with Rachel Lee's comment about the mortar since that can often work well. Also think Beverly's arrows look like good choices. Can't go wrong with that brick and gray!
