Does Anyone Know This Tile?

We are choosing a new granite (or quartzite or quartz) bathroom countertop and want to make sure it looks ok with our floor tile. Unfortunately, although the previous owner left extra tile for every other room in the house that has tile, there's none for this.

If anyone knows the name of it, perhaps we can buy one piece to take to granite places with us. Please note that it looks much darker in these pictures; the background is lighter, although not pure white)

(Bonus points if anyone has any suggestions of a nice, countertop - some color and movement preferred - that would go with it!)

OP here - I've NO idea why the pictures posted with so much white space in between. Sorry about that.

If you like counter tops with movement and if the floor is not too big, I recommend you change the floor to a solid pattern and pick your most favorite counter top. Your counter top will look nicer without the competition of your floor.

Merola tile has some of those patterns. I just grabbed an image of a Merola tile 'Avila' carried by Home Depot. Wayfair or Tilebar carry a lot of patterned tiles. If you want to spend many dollars, Tabarka or Fireclay have similar tiles.

oh ansd to answer ur questions (sorry) yes that is the shower and it appears to me they simply laid the tile over the base of the floor - if they did pitch it, they were drunk or high. there is supposedly hardy backing with the red moisture barrier on it - on the shower walls - i don't think anything is on the floor from what i have seen. oh, the 18x18 tiles on the walls clearly have air behind them when i tap them - it sounds like damn near an echo when u tap one - they will not stay on those walls a month if you ask me...

If you are keeping that tile, then I think a more solid colored countertop would be best. There are granites that are completely or almost completely back, and then there are also plenty of white, black, and gray quartz countertops that could work. You will likely be able to borrow or take counter samples from showrooms to take home and see if they work with your floors, if you are unable to get a floor sample to take to the counter showrooms.
