Searching for Fabric Laundry Basket

This laundry basket came with our new house. Perfect size for the laundry chute from master bedroom closet. Nothing really wrong with this one, other than I would like to replace it with the same style/make/manufacturer in a different fabric. It is lined, and the lining is not removable. Looking for the same, but have not found anywhere. No tags or markings. The house is only 3yrs old, so you'd think they were still around. You can see the size when compared to the paper towel roll. I've also considered wicker, but afraid DH would tear up our clothes. Sources, anyone?

To make up for the laundry basket photo, here is one of the nearby dune lakes. We pass one or more on our morning walks. We often do a three mile loop, going through a state park to the beach, then walk the beach back to our house. We are only a block away, so a nice breeze. DD2 and her family came to visit last week. DS and his family are coming in mid-July. Our grandson is probably coming for a week first of July.

As for the LB, it looks like things I have seen at Home Goods but beyond that I am no help.

Oh my, are you in one of those charming towns on 30A? I have a friend at Seacrest Beach. Swoon.

What is the size of the basket above? I have something similar and if it's the right size as mine I'll drag it out of the closet and see if there's a label. Mine is holding picture frames.

Thanks Cyrus. I also have lots of oak leaves of a soft variety (quercus lobata) that would probably work as well as a soil containment barrier. These leaves would stay moist if the layer was an inch or 2 thick! I figure to sink these baskets about 6 inches deep for stability. Then I'll see what kind of materials I might use to keep the soil above ground inside. I've got burlap sacks, oak leaves, pine needles and cardboard to choose from so far. I want to keep my costs in this venture to the one dollar I paid for the baskets! Yes, I think these might rust eventually...they have a white coating over the wire, no doubt they were not designed for outside use.

No, I haven't needed to service the washer or dryer at all. (It probably helps that I bought Mieles, as they've been trouble-free little workhorses. I'm opinionated about buying as much quality you can afford at the outset, to avoid problems later on, which has served me very well in this instance.) As far as accessing the dryer vent, I haven't actually ever done that. It vents down through a crawl space and out the foundation of our house. (You make me wonder however if it's time to go check on that, to see how much build-up there might be.) I don't seem to get an overabundance of dust, and am pretty meticulous about keeping the mesh lint screen cleaned after every dryer load, so that's probably helped. The washer is a tight fit, but can be moved. We need two people to actually pick it up (a couple of inches) to move it out, but have only needed to move it once in the time it's been there. (That was in the beginning when I had the sheet metal pan made, which took some time to procure and set into place. I also went the extra mile and bought metal mesh supply lines for peace of mind, knowing that moving the washer or dryer would take some planning!) The turn-off valve is at the back of the washer (behind the laundry basket) and rather hard for me to access as I'm short and don't have long arms. The Mieles are deep, rather than wide and because of this, I keep a step ladder (just in case) at that end of my home in my closet, so I can reach it quickly if the need ever arises. Hopefully it never will, but I did plan for the eventuality. This is absolutely some of the best space planning I've ever done. I can't tell you how easy it is to deal with laundry at this stage of my life...you'll just have to experience it yourself! If I ever have to move from here, I would repeat every detail exactly as is, in a heartbeat. Good luck!

Just a thought. In one particular fabric shop, the very knowledgeable clerk recommended that I use indoor-outdoor fabric for pillows and window coverings. It won't fade and it cleans with water. Some of those fabrics are similar to a basket print. For your requirements, many of the outdoor fabrics have spa blue and white strips and prints. Good luck with your search!

Thanks, Mtn. Home Goods was the first place I thought. It's a good half hour or more to decent shopping, so I've been looking online. Dang tourist season. :D So I've been staying in our neck of the woods where it's quiet(er).

ETA: Yes, we are. We worked our tails off for two weeks getting ready for DD2 and fam to arrive.... and I cannot stand seeing boxes or being unorganzied. She said I was the only person she knows that could have just moved, but looks like we've been here for months.

What about a wicker laundry basket with a fabric liner? I found this one from Pottery Barn when I googled wicker laundry basket with fabric liner.

Is it stiff because it has heavy starch or sizing? or is it stiff because the fabric is lamenated to a base like cardboard?

There are lots of exsmples of fabric buckets of various sizes on a search.

Not the same, but this is about the same size and looks to be soft cotton rope woven, if you need to consider other options:

It is not stiff, as in not starched or laminated. The interior and exterior fabric is sewn over a wire base. Very soft. Does not collapse.

Started searching using "canvas" but still don't see one shaped like this.

Mine is the exact same shape, but I can't tell where there's any wire. Instead of hanging handles, mine are cut out at the ends.

I'm thinking the material which seems strong, is glued on, and it doesn't bend either, maybe at the top middle just a bit. I've had it for years and it hasn't lost shape. And no tags anywhere except a little sticker on the bottom saying made in China.

But I did find something super meaningful inside and if it wasn't for this topic, I'd never have found it. I have vintage drinkware inside, in picture frames, and as I was pulling things out I found a loose picture of my dad taken in 1963! Got to give it to DS1 since he resembles his grandfather whom he only met as a little one and they have/had the same engineering profession.

I'm pretty sure mine came from Pottery Barn and I looked at all their baskets and it wasn't there. PB does have some cute laundry baskets though.

Have you seen this Image Search? Now I'm thinking about buying one. :)

Im pretty sure i have seen these type baskets at Target, but i hsve not been since before the pandemic. i only remember seeing solid colors. we use a wicker laundry basket in the laundry room and have never had s problem.
