Framed or Frameless Kitchen Cabinets

Helene Alfaro

I am planning kitchen remodel. The cabinets I like are from Greenfield and they offer both framed and frameless. The framed are a bit cheaper and from what I have read, a bit more sturdier. Also, I have read that frameless is a bit trickier to install. Does anyone have any opinions on going framed versus frameless? This is for a circa 1987 New England center entrance colonial - the kitchen does open up to a vaulted ceiling family room, but most of the house is a traditional colonial layout. I really like the clean lines of frameless, but more concerned about the installation and durability.
