I am not a green lover, so no, I couldnt live with it, but, if your son likes and he can live with it, then I guess its up to him. I am not so sure, it goes with the green in his bedding and the table though. I might look for a lighter shade of that green , so it all goes together.

I’m ok with green if done in the right shade. He’s 5, so while he will get some say in things…he won’t make the final decision. He’s only getting a green room bc he’s asked for one for the last 2yrs and has been consistent in his color request. And I’m in the mood for a change too.

Thank you! Those greens are so light! Not sure I can look at that every day. I prefer something deeper/more rich in color. Maybe something more nature toned. Is that a thing?

Yellow-green, or chartreuse, like BM Stem Green that @Jinx posted, is a cheerful color! I would not pick a very muted (grayed) green for a young child’s room. It’s interesting that your son has a strong opinion about color at such a young age. Does he like to draw and paint? A green he would like may be brighter than you want.

He’s more analytical and logical. He doesn’t draw and paint much. He prefers to understand how things work. Still not crazy about a green like that. Need to think about this.

What about SW Softened Green? Or Clary Sage? Or Green Onyx. Muted yes, but still green.

I would go for a much darker color, like a forest green. I used to have a living room that color and liked it. We had white ceiling and woodwork. I tend to like greens that lean toward teal.

Why not pick three greens you like and let him pick? You aren’t entertain his room and all your friends have kids (probably) and understand. It’s only a gallon or two of paint and a weekend. When he tires of what harm is it? it in three or ten years, you can repaint.

I would match the green in his quilt. And paint one wall, perhaps one that has no windows or doors, that exact color. You have khaki walls and navy curtains. I would leave those the same. And keep the ceiling white. I think it would look fabulous.

This is the green I see in the nightstand.

Get a B.M. strip starting with 568, Parkside Dunes. Any green on that strip should work well on the wall. Then when he out grows the bedding, no need to change the wall paint.

You do not need those blue curtains...the shutters are perfect.

I know about the curtains. We had curtains before shutters and have just kept them. They are slowly coming down throughout the house as I change out decorations.
