Provia Endure Window price/ cost

Hi everyone

I was just quoted $8200 for 10 Provia ”endure ” double hung windows in double pane glass in all white. This is a basic replacement install. We like the look of the window and it seems to be of a very high quality especially compared to some of the other windows we have seen. Adding grids between the glass will cost an additional $68 per window. Any opinion on the Provia ”endure” window and the pricing we received? Thanks !!!!

the provia “endure” is a good window and the pricing seems very good.

everything is going up in price so you may want to lock in the pricing while you can. the price increases are happening throughout the home improvement industry including furniture and appliances.

I am also looking at Provia Windows. I saw the provia aspect but will also look at the endure. Seems like a good window from what I saw and what I have read about it.

Ashley Berryman This is what you just said a few days ago and now you are telling the OP to replace her windows with Provia vinyl and its the only way to go. This is extremely strange, not to mention very hippocritical. You said the exact opposite a few days back. Look at your very bizarre post you made a few days back. Did you happen find a job at a vinyl window manufacturer and you want be the new company cheerleader? See below. ”if you have wood, never EVER replace-pay to restore and maintain. Wood windows need maintenence, yes, but that is because they CAN be maintained. Current manufactured windows cannot BE maintained and have to be routinely replaced and dumped at landfill. Restored and maintained wood actually does not NEED to be replaced, is EXTREMELY valuable, and last hundreds upon hundreds of years because they CAN be repaired and restored. Wood window restoration (that has been maintained) occurs at 50 year intervals, so by the time your wood needs restoring again, you will have had to replace a replacement window at least ONCE. DON'T DO IT!!!”

I like the provia aspect, seems like a decent window that gets overlooked in my opinion. Its pretty nice looking with some good energy efficiency ratings. Although pricing can be regional, your pricing seems good and in the middle of the range from what I see. You can get ” neopor ” insulation as an option which I recommend.

Just had 15 Aspect windows installed, 13 double hung and 2 casements. Liked the thinner frame (we upgraded to foam filled) because we have a colonial style house with tall narrow windows and wanted a quality window that allows maximum glass size. Approx $800/window installed including cleanup and debris removal. Installer seamed to take time to make sure everything was done properly. Fit is consistent and all window operate smoothly. 2 weeks after install, all is good, the real test is the upcoming Wisconsin winter.

A few questions.. I am a bit concerned about purchasing directly from the manufacturer (Quantapanel). I like having the added layer of a distributor because if something goes wrong, they have to fix the problem. I'm not sure what I would do on my own if there was a problem. Also, did you do a color? The website implies they won't send a color sample until you place an order, although I can ask them. I had planned to do ProVia because it came in Mountain Berry; I'm still kicking myself for not knowing they were discontinuing their aluminum storm windows. Larson storm windows don't come in colors. Was the sound issue why you elimimated Larson, or were there other reasons?

Decent window, there are some better and many worse. Very established manufacturer, but new to windows.

Price seems to be in the ball park for that window, I've seen it sold for more.

I'm looking at Provia Endure inserts for 8 large double hung and a pretty big picture window. My quotes are vastly different, about $400 per window. Both from reputable local companies. I know prices are continuing to go up. Does $1400/window installed seem high? We are also looking at Okna and Seaway which are lower in cost. Possibly better, at minimum equivalent. I want a decent window with good performance numbers. Interested in opinions on price and/or the other brands we are considering.

Seems pretty high. I would pursue the Okna , better window and price.
