Help with rose ID please

Hi everyone,

Might be a long shot, but can anyone help me ID this rose? I think it may be a David Austin, and it was given to me years ago with some other roses. Some of the names I remember are Ambridge Rose and Scepter'd Isle. I think it's too pink for Ambridge Rose, so maybe Scepter'd Isle, but I'm not even sure I'm remembering those names correctly, or even that it's a DA. My friend gave me several DAs but I can't remember if they were ALL DAs.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

I don't think it's Lady Elsie May. LEM is more pink than that. More pictures of buds and blooms would be helpful.

CeresMer, I hear you. This year is somehow particularly bad. I even started to spray insecticide which I never did before, and still they find ways to do some damage (but the spray did help to some extent). The thing is, I was never able to actually see them!! I see some aphids, yes, but never any other insects (apart from bees and ladybugs of course) on my roses. So when I saw this poor guy, I instinctively thought he was the culprit! Lol.

Erin, that really helps. Google HMF roses (Help Me Find) and insert the name "Lovely Fairy" and you can see all sorts of photos and comments about that rose. That will really help you ID it for sure. The smooth canes look like a Polyantha and they do well in California.
