Building and looking for idea on furniture placement. Trying to prepare for electric walk to determine possible outlets in floor and what to do with wall opposite of slider, scones? Open to any and all ideas

Do you have furniture you plan to reuse for this space or all new? Tv watching here?

Plan on doing built-ins to the right of the fireplace (opposite of window wall) and placing TV in that built-in. And we would be buying all new furniture. It is a 17 x 17 sizes room so not sure if we should do sofa, sectional, chairs. Open to anything

I agree with the others to place TV and attractive wide credenza on the large wall with a great sofa table in the back of floating sofa. Do you need to replace sofa or rug? If not, then a sofa table behind it, with new sofa pillows and two great arm chairs in cream and facing the sofa, and new round coffee table up on legs would give you flexibility for the future. A sectional can be very limiting without adding much seating. You do already have a chaise on current sofa. Etsy offers some great, affordable wood sofa tabletops in any length and height. Just use their search box--"console tables, hairpin legs"

In addition to taking out the fireplace, I think you mentioned in your other thread that you’re also considering reconfiguring the kitchen. If this area is pretty much a gut and there aren’t compelling reasons to keep it as arranged, you may want to consider swapping the kitchen and living areas.

I think it is better this way but I’ll still get a new rug, drapes and a larger sofa console table as well as fix the artwork. Maybe a floating shelf under the blue floral art piece instead of having the small console table competing with the soon-to-be large console behind the sofa?1

We have an open concept main floor with fireplace and for our family of five a sectional, much hated on this site, plus two chairs is our winner. We love it and it’s great for our family. We taped the floor to ensure we were happy with size etc.
