Will 2 light fixtures w 2 40-watt bulbs ea produce enough light?
Comments (13)Nice sconces! We have 4x40w bulbs, 2 each in two sconces, in our small master ensuite. It's adequate but barely, partly because I find the glass a little too thick and it dims the bulbs quite a bit. I'm waiting for them to die so I can put in slightly brighter LEDs. I would think it WOULD be adequate for a powder room -- guests don't need to see every pore and cat hair on the floor. In my 5x5 powder I have 2 60s in an overhead fixture and it's pretty darn bright. Especially since I replaced the charcoal grey fixtures with white ones. Comments (26)i think if you have a regular shower head, there will still be splashing issues, if you do a overhead "rainfall" shower head, then it will probably be okay. But I see a waste of space in your layout. why do you need a "full height" wall at the bottom of the shower area? is there some kind of code you have to fulfill? Can you just make the left side the shower area from top to bottom, then extend the "pony wall" a little longer to keep things proportional? and turn the corner seat to a flip down wall bench....See MoreWhat mirror setup is best for our vanity?
Comments (7)any of them will work..I feel though two ovals will take your eyes off the outlets more easier. not that it's super important. Second favorite-one big oval. Depending on your style-simple or framed. No accent if two mirrors! You can always put there a narrow vase with a branch, a flower, or something..it will be organic look, can be changed as often as you please, and will be better than any permanent accent....See MoreMust we have a lip with our Quartz bathroom vanities?
Comments (25)you need a splash even without kids. Actually, you could have your vanity without a splash, similar to mounting a pedestal lav (sink) all by itself. As a builder I would need to know beforehand depending on source of the countertop. My fabricator would cut the counter deeper to fit to the wall with caulking. Prefab slabs are not as generous and may require more filler work to cover any gaps. Faucets splash water even without your assistance. Its not a flaw, but a function of water falling from the spout to the drain....See Morenewenglandsara2
