Comments (23)Here's an idea that will hopeful spark more ***our aisle is 40" right now. I say, don't do it if you have a choice!***. It ignores trying to push anything under the stairs and doesn't have an island of any kind. I assumed where you have the ice maker/sink/wine cooler is not against the stairwell, so I opened that end up and put peninsula seating there. wine fridge, ice maker, dw, clean up sink, dish storage, fridge and pantry on the living room side. Comments (7)I have a similar layout. I would move the fridge to the left to the doorway. Then I would move the range to the left a foot or so. When I cook all my prep is between sink and range so when I remodeled last year I made that change and love the extra 12 inches between sink and range. Now that we’ve had separate closets for 10 years, we’re not interested in sharing and, really, there isn’t enough room in mine anyway.
