I think that color scheme would work well on your house.

A natural cedar arbor over you garage would add some detail there. Prune the rhododendron that is starting to hide the window.

Love the idea of a window there. Unfortunately it is crawl space in an attic and not a room that is attached to the rest of the house 😕

Is there a reason an attic space can't have a window? Even a faux window would help the appearance.

Put a cedar portico over your garage door. That will cut the vast expanse of garage wall and make it less imposing. It will also provide support for clematis or roses or whatever else you might like to grow there. Something like this:

I like your current colors so much better than the grays. The dark colors look so depressing and unwelcoming. Maybe a fresh coatof the current color and a bright front door will be all of the updating that you need.

Differences make the world go 'round! I LOVE the darker colors and I think they are going to be the new "in" thing for exteriors. I hate white and tan houses...SO OVERDONE.

I like the dark shades. It will look really nice when you are done.
