IMO get rid of the concrete totally except for your driveway then do some nice landscaping along with a MCM front door. This is a great low maintenance way to add curb appeal and alot better than hug expanse of concrete Definately not that victorian door at all IMO you do not need a storm door and if a screen is something you like get a phantom screen so the new door is seen.

It looks like you've already made some updates to the brick and siding, but the colors have not been carried through to the planters and porch. Budget $500, $5000, other? You can start by getting your concrete pressure-washed. It may look much brighter and lighter.

I guess that's a garage conversion? Otherwise, agree there's no reason for cement to come right to both walls. Get it broken up.

I like the modernization of the siding et al, so I'd have the brick replaced (to remove the additional finish material) with concrete steps and a sharp iron railing, coming down to a walkway with grass or planting beds on either side.

IMHO, curb appeal is almost always improved with more gaarden and less cement, not the reverse.

agree. remove those stone flower beds, remove the red brick porch and do that in cement if you like. I'd prob cover it w/black slate or something.

for that yellow stone? I'd cover it w/vertical cedar slat wood

these are horizontal, and some are comoposite cedar, but see how they look next to black?

you know, you could try and paint them black to match the siding. they painted them here

but you'd still have to do something w/that brick landing.

I might be tempted to paint that gray portion black. paired w/the wood, it looks nice

do this in the flower beds after you remove them.
