I hate being cold. I froze in the office last night even with my heating pad on high, a sweater and sweat jacket on. I finally got up and turned the thermostat up.

On Sunday in Vancouver it was 8C with wind and rain. I turned on the heat. We have been below average for this time of year since Friday. Last week it was beautiful and warm

blfenton my parents are in Abbotsford so I knew to expect the wind and cold. I talk to my mom every Friday but had to put it off to Saturday. Warmer weather is on the way. Back to 28C by Monday. We usually get the mainland weather a day or two later. LOL

I'd be happy to trade if I could. I hate being hot, now that I'm of the age where my body thermostat's broken, and it's been around 90F, and summer's only just starting 😕

We've been running the A/C nonstop for months now.

It's been cool in Los Angeles (20°C/68°F), but the house stays around 22C/72F, and so it's been pleasant. I noticed one day last week that it was warmer in Vancouver than it was here.

When I want heat, I go to the desert, and we'll be going back there in about three week (or less). I have a dentist appointment there, but I have doctors' appointments here in L.A. this week. I don't mind heat when I have a pool, plus it is extremely dry in the desert with about 15% humidity, down to 10% humidity in the middle of the day. I don't need a towel when I get out of the pool.

I definitely turned on the heat during our storm here. I usually turn the heat off in April and don't even look at it but that was quite a chill that the storm brought with it. Plus my sister was here and I don't like family to be even remotely cold or uncomfortable.

I wish I could send you our heat--it's supposed to be with us for the next two weeks. Wi.

Come to PA where it is a living hell. It's been in the mid-'90s all week with humidity and tomorrow I have to go to the flower show in Philly with these temps and thundershowers. And yes, the flower show, the oldest in the country dating back to the 1800s is outside for the first time in his history.

Lily, I just read that the flower show was evacuated due to thunder and lightning. They have the worst luck with weather at that show. It seems like they have a blizzard every time they hold it indoors in March.

And yes our weather has been awful. Its been one of those seasons where I went back and forth between AC and furnace.

When I read comments about how cold the inside of houses become so quickly I consider myself very lucky because other than one apartment where the heat was turned off April 1 then back on October 15 no place I have ever lived became too hot or too cold overnight. Currently 88 outside and with several windows open along with the back door it is 79 inside.

Yes, dedtired. It looks a mess down in Philly. Of course, the tickets are nonrefundable and if it was up to me we'd stay home. It was a Mother's day gift so I feel obligated no matter that I'm still hobbling along with my lacerated leg which cannot get wet. The irony we west of Harrisburg are in a drought with zero rain.

Last week we were running our furnace, it got down to 40 F. We don't like to be uncomfortable.

Lily, a friend of mine and her husband had tickets for 10:00AM yesterday and she said the

heat and humidity were so awlful it was hard to enjoy the flowers. Plus they had the hike from the parking lot to get them all warmed up. They had brought their own water to stay hydrated which was a good thing because they were charging $4.00 a bottle at the show.

She said the park had a lovely lake and would be a great place to bring a blanket and have a picnic. i didn’t ask if that was something you could do while the show was on.

Just got back from golfing in Jasper, Alberta for a few days. The nights dipped below zero celsius, days were cloudy but a nice break from the upper 20’s last week. The course was a little on the wet side. ⛳️ 🌧 Still had fun!

I don't care how hot it gets.....just hoping this constant raining will stop. No one has ever seen anything like this.

Got our first thunderstorm last night...it was LOUD and shook the house. Today it’s sunny, hot and humid. I’d welcome more storms to cool it down.

Send some rain up to drought-stricken PA. And the flower show was as hot and miserable as we thought it would be but no rain...just 90plus heat and humidity.

We're raining again today, and will through the weekend. I'm not complaining, though, not after seeing the drought map of the U.S., pictures of Lake Mead and satellite pictures of the Sierra NV snow pack this Winter. Scary.

Melting in central Wisconsin but, so far, have not had to turn on the AC. Cooling down to around 65 at night so I open up the house at night & shut it down in the AM.

We had some large pine trees in the backyard removed last summer so the back of the house gets a lot more western sun now. Made a shade screen for the patio door out of Coolaroo fabric & got it hung from the 2nd story cantilever on Saturday.

Cut one of those emergency space blankets in half and taped it with artist's tape to the top of the interior side of the storm windows in my bedroom. Also cut a piece of 1/4" foil faced foam insulation, wrapped the edges with metallic dryer duct tape & friction fitted it over the glass in the storm door. Not pretty but it was a fast fix using stuff that I had on hand and helps a lot. No neighbors back there/ only woods. The deer & turkeys have not complained.

90 degrees/ sunny/ 77% humidity & not even a whisper of breeze at present. 79 degrees inside; ceiling fans help a whole lot!
