Toddler room color/art
Comments (30)Late update but I was not able to convince my husband that we should paint vs doing touch ups. I did take other people's suggestions and rehang my daughters large painting horizontally. I also grouped the pictures in 3 vs 2. and replaced and rehang the curtain rod so it let's a little more light in. Besides painting I don't know if there is much more I could do? I think a new rug that was lighter and bigger would help. Or maybe layering a larger sheepskin over the current rug?...See MoreToddler granson's new room colors please!
Comments (8)Thank you for your valuable comments. I agree that the lime green is too intense as well. The previous owners had just painted it for their kid's room before selling and my daughter was trying to talk herself into keeping it but has convinced her hubby to paint. I also thought that a light grey would be nice and I agree that the light blue is a little stereotypical for a boy's room. The orange may also be a bit intense for a little one. He's not quite 2 yet. But I think pops of that color would work out well. Thanks all for your advice....See Morewhat color for a boys toddler room?
Comments (4)Look for a great fabric for children for curtains and decorative pillows or to cover the rocking chair cushions and then choose a color from the fabric for the walls. Reconsider the barn siding wall; the room is small and you really don't need an "accent" wall....See MoreHelp with finishing touches on a toddler's room!
Comments (10)For wall decor, think of decals. Inexpensive and easy to install and take off (they might leave a faint imprint on the wall paint when removed). Choose a motif your daughter enjoys. It can be changed with her whims every few years. You can also get some large inexpensive canvas art to hang. Etsy will have loads of these options. You can have some of your own pictures blown up and printed on canvas. The square print in your mockup is the window covering? You can take your cue from that for the wall colour. Perhaps match the neutral background colour? Your chair looks to be a cool grey on my monitor while the rug and dresser are a warm cream. They look fine together on my screen but in person, you might appreciate the mix less. Really depends on you (and the light in the room). Some people don't mind pairing cool and warm colours. Pale pink, grey or white bedding would be very pretty. Etsy - Woodland animals...See Moreamreed05
