Need opinions on Broyhill fabric couch and loveseat.
Comments (2)I am not computer smart at all, and couldn't get your pics to show. Broyhill is a 'beginning' level product to me.Maybe a step up I just ordered a leather sofa, and am hoping it is better than Laz-Boy. Years ago I had a broyhill sofa and it was absolutely great- I am hoping for the same quality again. Of course, if you let a large dog like that on the couch it isn't going to last as long. And it is going to get a bit 'stinky' from the dog. The warranty won't do anything when the pillows get soft and floppy, or when the fabric get worn/snagged from dog toenails. If you 'plop' down on it, it will not last as long. Part of it is how you care/use/abuse your furniture!...See MoreCL Sofa - Opinions?
Comments (12)Thank you, everyone, I am feeling a bit better! The tear is shaped like a 'T', about 6-8" long, and the edges are frayed. I can darn the tear, but I don't think I could repair it well enough to be presentable because of the size, shape, and condition of the edges. I do like dlm2000's suggestion of just covering the back, or lyban's suggestion of covering the tear area with a trimmed-out piece of the fabric. Geokid, I love that inspiration room! I agree, my daughter has to either like the plaid, or I need to figure out how to cover it to better match her style. If my daughter absolutely vetos the sofa, I think I will keep it and use it when I re-work my sunroom (in a blue/yellow/lime color scheme like Geo's pic)!...See MoreOpinions on artwork over the couch
Comments (29)I'm leaning towards the pillows with the circles more after looking at the two pictures, only because it feels lighter and brighter. I may keep the blue ones for fall/winter and the circles ones for the warmer months. Definitely good to have options! brownwynsmom - I have a matching end table on the other side of the room in between to chairs so I was unsure if another table would be overkill but that corner is lacking. I may end up moving the plant altogether and bringing in another table to see how it looks. Thanks. patty0315 - I never knew that rule about hanging art! Makes so much sense when you put it that way. I'll be lowering the picture again tonight. Thanks!...See MoreOpinions on this couch?
Comments (3)Funny, that is the first thing that I noticed as well. "Those are not bun legs!". Therefore, I would be a little wary ordering this piece as you should not trust what they are saying (or what they are showing us). Have you considered Ikea for cheap and cheerful? I have had an Ikea sofa in my basement media room for two years and so far it is holding up very well....See Morelordry
