Need sectional help

We are redoing out family toom and really want to have a sectional but fnding it difficult with the awkward shape of the room. We were hoping to put part of the sofa along the wndow and the other part into the center of the room with the tv on the wall with the measurement of 137 1/4 is tgis doable?

I dont have a preferred sectional and the room is a blank slate that is why i attached a diagram of the room

I had checked out their website already and it sounds good. I just want to make sure that it's a quality product and not one of those "you get what you pay for" things. Have you gotten your sofa yet and are you happy with it? What about the quality of the fabric and the feel of the cushions? I want a sofa that is pretty cushy and I was going to upgrade to the down option. Please let me know your impressions - it would be really helpful. I was also researching a sofa from Carolinachair.com. They seem to have a little bit better quality and better fabric choices, but the sofa I want is also about $2,000 more and I don't know that it's worth spending the extra money. Any input is appreciated.

I have a purple (!) microsuede slip-covered sectional;about 10 years old. I was leery at purchase time b/c it was not at all what I'd imagined, but it has been wonderful. It cleans easily with a wet paper towel (until it's time to toss the slips into the washer), dog fur vacuums off easily, and it is soft and cozy but still stays tidy looking. The brand is Rowe (which does not have terrific online reviews ) but we've been very happy with it. The slips fit tightly and the purple color doesn't look crazy with my other furniture. The one problem is that the pieces do not fasten together well.

What does the 4th wall in your room look like? Is it possible to rearrange things? Give it a quarter turn so that it is no longer in front of the windows. In other words, one section on the back wall and the other section would be where the TV / console currently set. The TV could then be on that (unseen) 4th wall. I also think the TV is mounted too high.

Hi Cindy, I purchased a CR sectional and absolutely would NOT recommend buying CR!!!! They are the worse company to deal with when there is an issue. They accept no responsibility for poor quality. Our sectional does not fully meet at all points. There is a gap and we have an open floor plan so cannot put the back of the sofa against the wall so you can clearly see this. We worked with the company we purchased from but CR refused to accept it as poor craftsmanship and kept sending various ‘parts’ to try and make the sofa pieces fit better. Never worked. They refused to take it back. We paid for upgraded down, spring cushions…you should see what these look like. You’d think I have small kids who jump on them and that the furniture was 20 years old instead of 2. The fabric doesn’t stay in place. It’s horrible. The furniture company compensated $600 for all the trouble, but in a sectional that’s over $10k and doesn’t fit together, poor quality…that’s nothing. The sectional we gave away was better. Run, run, run far away from CR!!! BTW, I rarely write reviews, however this company has suck horrible customer service and an expensive product…learn from my mistake.

What rooms are accessed through the doors. What color is the paint? How large is the TV? How tall are the windows, and how high off the floor.? Do you consider the window to be our focal point or will that be the TV? You see why photos would be helpful.

I understand but the reason im saying its a blank slate is because the tv has not been purchased yet nor has the room been painted. The TV will be the focal point. The rooms accessed through the doors are the front enty way and the kitchen.

Everyrhing on this eall is leaving, door leads into kitchen but as you will see n the next picture the oassthrough is being ipened to the floor leading i to the kitchen

Aren't you going to lose a lot of kitchen storage/counter if you open that pass through? What's the reason for doing that? Will you close the other door to the kitchen? You're going to run out of walls for furniture. If the piano is staying and is ever played, it needs to be on an interior wall for its health. I would put it on the TV wall, TV on piano wall and then measure the space from piano to window. That's where I'd consider a smaller chaise sofa with the chaise on the right.

Why would you want a sectional since you are splitting it up ? Just get 2 sofas or even better a sofa and 2 chairs .BTW I never like kitchens open to LRS and in this case a bad idea since it also cuts down on wall space in the LR My suggestion would be to close the pass through and only have the kitchen open to the DR.

Yes, I'd be closing the pass through and adding upper cabs in the kitchen, allowing more wall space for furniture in the living room.

We are doing a full kitchen remodel and will have more than enough storage and wall soace in thd kitchen. as I said before the piano is leaving the space entirely..... i am really just looking for placment of the sectional i dont need assistance with cabinets and storage etc
