What my garden looks like in May

Here are some photos of my garden. It's done well this May.

What I see as I drive up the driveway. The big rock retaining wall on the right with hostas and lilies, the edge of the big hosta bed on the left. Sitting area up above. Grass to mow in between.

I walk up these steps to get into the house. Green Hostas on the left along with junipers framing the steps, a big rhodie tucked into the corner, and a crabapple over my head.

Out front there's a grassy nook bordered by pachysandra. Serene to look at. Below the boxwoods is the "flat bed" full of an assortment of ground covers and some white-centered hostas. Many of them are reverting to green after years and years of staying white in the center. I guess the stress of maintaining all that white has just exhausted them. Who knows if fertilizer would help. Would it?

If not, I'm going to have to replace them. I want that white in this bed.

The retaining wall. Elegans and Sun Power above, lilies, allium, yellow creeping jenny, and volunteer creeping charlie on the rocks, and volunteer sensitive ferns. Orange daylilies below.
