If it’s continually staining it probably isn’t sealed properly. Get it clean and put a good sealer on it.

I have epoxy grout so it doesn't get dirty/discolored, but I do use this once in a while when it looks like mold might be starting in a corner where there is caulk and it works great; no scrubbing at all;

I feel your pain! If you have hard water, that might be a clue. The reason for the orange/brown stains may be hard water chemically reacting with the minerals in the grout. That’s what our grout cleaner guy told us. The minerals in the hard water should practice social distancing from grout. Even sealed grout!

One of main goals for new house - no grout anywhere. I am not a patient person I guess.

What I do in our current shower is...after showering I squeegee and then completely dry the shower walls and base with a microfiber cloth. Where there is moisture, something is going to grow. And running a fan for an hour will not do the job.

We don’t have grout, but do squeegee the walls, too. I use a cleaner called Force of Nature. It is made at home, using tap water , a capsule of salt and vinegar and a little machine that makes this into electrolyzed water. E-water kills organisms by breaking down their cell integrity and is used in “clean rooms” in labs. No real odor, just smells a little like a swimming pool. Safe to use around children and pets and does not require rinsing.

Thank you Nancy! Definitely going to do this and see, especially since my husband just finished using some product that our yacht captain friend suggested. (He has to maintain that boat to immaculate standards.) But it’s so powerful the fumes knock me out LOL! We better have at least some results!

Have you tried Clorox bathroom cleaner, I find I have to spray this on every few months on mine let it do it’s thing, then scrub a bit with old toothbrush and rinse. Make sure to open the window, it very bleach smelly, and not to get it on clothing or other things that will be harmed by bleach.

You might want to make sure there isn't water standing in the shower pan beneath the tiling? That might account for how quickly it builds up. That kind of stone floor is fairly trendy, therefore probably relatively new -- do you know how the shower was constructed?
