Mouse droppings under refrigerator
Comments (15)We have just finished cleaning mouse droppings and a nest of insulation from the bottom of our refrigerator around the motor and we had to order a new stove, which we won't move in for another week hoping we won't find anymore mice by then. It was beyond saving, no way to get at all the droppings. Mice can be very destructive. We used live traps and caught 2 mice the first night which we relocated to a forest with some open fields about 3 miles away. We have not caught any more but I am not complacent because everyone says if you see 2 mice you can be sure there are more and i can't believe that 2 mice did all that damage. I feel hopeful, though, because every morning I check the whole kitchen for mouse droppings and all areas have been clear for 2 weeks now. We have never seen any sign of mice elsewhere in the house, only in the kitchen. We are keeping the traps in the kitchen until it warms up outside. We're pretty sure we'll have mice again in the fall because we have not yet been able to find their entry point or points so we'll have to be very vigilant from now on....See MoreMouse droppings under refrigerator
Comments (5)Is this the "shelf" you mean? It's under the compressor and condensor coil? Insulation Panel The fiberglass is for sound insulation and somewhat for heat ... but the panel as a whole is important to help direct airflow over the condensor. Removing and discarding the fiberglass isn't a large issue but don't get rid of the panel....See MoreFrench door fridge vs over/under cubic feet difference
Comments (19)I would not let the .7 cf dictate here... like someone had said previously - it probably is due to one single door vs the 2 french doors. Is the non-french door model a side by side or it is still a bottom freezer with a large single door fresh food area? I dislike the side by side. My friend has a french door - it makes me crazy because you feel like you have to open both doors all the time to see everything. I have a single door ref and love it! However it is in a location where that larger door swing is not an issue - so take your layout into account. I do find that I only really fully open the door when I am putting groceries away or cleaning it. Good luck!...See MoreHave any other NYCers found random mouse (field mouse?) on balcony?
Comments (1)Mice and other rodents are all over the place. I don't think they nest in plants though. I am right outside of NYC (like 15 minutes) but have woods all around me. We have field mice, whatever, still freakin' MICE, AS SOON as my cat died, I had an infestation in the autumn in my pantry (that is when they move in for central heating). I have a HUGE phobia of vermin. Got rid of the mice with a nasty device, glue trays, NOTHING else worked. Then, I adopted adopted a gorgeous jet black cat, NO MICE. There is a reason that were once worshipped in Egypt!...See Morekculbers
