ever hear of severe throat, tongue reaction to turnip green raw?
Comments (10)It is definitely possible to be allergic to something when it is raw and not be allergic to it when it is cooked, so he may well be allergic. The allergen in question gets denatured in the cooking process and then it is safe to eat. For instance, I've been eating cooked kale for years but ended up going into anaphylactic shock after eating my first kale salad. (That wasn't my first rodeo so I had an Epipen with me). If your husband has allergies to different pollens, then he's much more likely to develop these kinds of reactions. Look into oral allergy syndrome and you might find that he reacts to many of the fruits and vegetables that are known triggers of this. Depending on the severity of these reactions, he might want to visit an allergist and think about getting shots. If it's just one or two vegetables, then it's probably not worth it but if he starts reacting to just about everything, then shots for all the trees, grasses, and "weeds" can help....See MoreAnyone ever hear of the Citrus Tiger Navel (citrus sinensis)?
Comments (24)Actually, variegated citrus do appreciate a little respite from strong afternoon sun. You'll know if your variegated citrus is suffering, as it will appear sunburnt. If your tree is in a container, simply place it where it will get some shade during the hottest hours of the day. Regular citrus prefer as much sun as they can receive, but will manage pretty darned well even with a fair amount of shade. Citrus are very adaptable trees. Comments (25)I try not to use the "I'm busy" to often. I think it makes my friends feel like they aren't important. I tend to say a certain week or month, lets catch up or do someones birthday. Lately I have felt overwhelmed and I hate it. It's graduation & party crunch time, scholarship assisting, school activities have simmered down thank goodness, but the farming has stepped up X5. Oh and we are adding a whole new wing to our house. DH is doing most of the work between farming and I'm the designer. HA, sounds glamorous but it seriously isn't! Subbing at school has been few and the caller must be frustrated at my refusal to work. I am blessed to be able to enjoy the fruits of our labor but its been a long haul, we don't know what weekend fun is. My friends have been so good, they will offer their hands to help me. You bet I'm using them at DD's graduation open house! that's what friends are for. ~~I agree we are all busy. But if my friends NEED me I'll try to be there for them someway, like they are for me....See MoreI hear people want move in ready...do they ever!
Comments (8)The main difference I see between the two is not that one was updated more than the other but the staging and the photos. Plus the first house had double the square footage. Had house two been better staged with better photos, it too might have sold more quickly. House two actually sold for more per square foot than 1 so that might be part of it too. House 1 was $97 a square foot and house 2 was $125 a square foot....See Morerobert567
