Comments (9)Riky, that's nor S. arboricola but the much larger cousin Brassaia actinophylla (or Schefflera actinophylla) . This one has lost some popularity in the market place, partly because of how much space they can take up in the home or office. This plant is very susceptible to small scale insects, too. The smaller and much more popular S. arboricola has smaller glossy foliage, is usually a full, robust plant....often used on a table or plant stand and not the floor. Comments (14)in the original post in the shrub forum.. wherein i referred them to you gurus .. i said: it reminds me more of an arb.. that i have as Thuja occidentalis 'Golden Globe' aka 'Globosa Aurea' and one 'tell'.. is whether yours was ever sheared.. or if it is natural shape ... the one above.. grows in this shape.. all by its lonesome ... and you should be able to tell by sticking your head in it.. lol ... coloration varies thru the year ... so i dont know if yours is the yellow version ... but you might want to change the search at the link to ... Comments (4)Those are serviceberries (or Sarvisberry). A native small tree in the genus Amelanchier. Sometimes called Juneberry because they ripen in June. They are tasty, the birds like 'em; people used to make pies with them. Good fall color too....See Moredebbiecz3
