My order from Plantogram has just arrived today!
Comments (20)Hello Friends, Andrew - I have ordered Tons of Stuff from them and have been so happy each time. I got a 5'-6' Foot Sweetheart Lychee, 5'-6' Foot Purple Caimito, 4'-5' Foot Jaboticaba, a 5' foot "San Pablo" Custard Apple, and a Awesome Pickering Mango tree that is fruiting right now. That is the stuff I bought. As for te Stuff I got for free. I got a Jamaican Strawberry tree which is now almost 7' feet, Barbados Cherry, A Guava, a 6' foot Grumichama Cherry, and a Sensitive Plant, and a couple of others. He really values his customers and wrote the book on customer service. Bo - Yes, I definietly believe in them and the proof is in the pudding. He really delivers and the product speaks for itself. He will do whatever to make you happy. Ask for some pictures so you will get exactly what you want and expect, and so there won't be any problems. Mickey is very happy to do so. They are by far the best Mail Order Nursery for us in California and West Coast. - Jacob...See MoreAh ha! Miele debuts new 27 inch IntelliQ
Comments (47)Livebetter - I am sure you will be thrilled w/your new Miele's at least I hope so. So far I am thrilled w/my Bosch set. If I could have stacked the Miele's, I probably would have gone that route, however, I could not manage the price plus redoing a just done laundry to make them fit. It's interesting between the different appliance people and what they think of Samsung. My guy wants to dump them as soon as the contract is up do to the many, many repair calls. Yours recommended them. I find that interesting. Also, the delivery personal we had did an excellent job. One of them also owns the Bosch Vision series and he loves his as well. So that's 2 people from the same store both raving about what I just bought. I'm not overly concerned that Bosch is getting out of the 27" laundry set. Did concern me for a minute, however, my 7 yo dishwasher model I don't think is produced anymore, but they continue to use basically the same parts and well, it just hasn't needed serviced. I'm hoping I find the same for my washer. I love having the bigger drum. I believe mine is 4.3, coming from my approx 1.6 euro style Danby, it's like a cavern. I have yet to over fill it, but it's cut my laundry time in approx 1/2. I hope to see my water bill go down as well. I can't tell you the difference in how much each is using. Bosch claims 13 gals for an entire load, not sure what the Danby used, it doesn't say in the book, but if I've got to run 3 loads in there compared to 1 in the Bosch, I have to be saving something. All that said, I think you will find the 4.0 to be a good size. I have not tried my Q comforter yet, so I will let you know when I do. As for the steam in the dryer. I can't see myself using it very much. As I said, most items come up virtually wrinkle free to start with. We don't wear many dress shirts here, so I won't need it for that either. I will do some sweaters, but the heat it uses worries me for some things. I guess what I will have to do, is let a load dry, let it sit so it will wrinkle and then try the steam function to see if I can get it back to just been dried. So I would not worry about not having it....See MoreAh hoya update
Comments (6)> 6 days total! You mean transportation from Thailand to Aurora, and THEN from her to you, ALL TOGETHER, took 6 days? Wow, that is exceptionally fast. 4+2 days, I am assuming. That was EMS express shipping, Aurora? And did you pay to AH Hoya by Paypal, or by Transferwise? My order is an individual one, because I easily found 12 plants I want, but I guess once I reshuffle my collection a bit and grow most of what I want to grow, I won't need to get 12 plants the next time around, so a group order may be in my future, to make that shipping more economical per plant. And I will probably make a good hub for that future order because I am only 13 miles from the JFK airport where I assume all these shipments come in, if directed to the East Coast of the US. I can't wait to get my babies. This is going to be a first for me from Thailand, or from anywhere overseas for that matter....See MoreAH Group Order (US Only...sorry)
Comments (25)Just for fun I went on the AH website to read about them. They said that they are located near the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. I googled this market. It is so cool! We need to take a field trip! If you have time, google this floating market. Then to top it off, last night I bumped into a former student who is leaving in two weeks to teach English in Thailand. I got to share my new knowledge with her....... It all started with one little hoya cutting that I received from a friend........See Morestupidlazydog CT zone 5b/6a
