Glad I checked back in..I'll try and answer some questions if anyone is still out there :) JoJoDIY Thanks for your comments! we are happy with the quality of cliq. I will admit that I have a wicked 'talent' for picking out imperfections and found a few with the cabs. Cliq was excellent, however, in standing behind them and making things right. For the price we paid I was willing to make peace with the little imperfections. Overall they look and function great. My feeling is if you have the money AND you're a perfectionist, you will probably want more custom cabs. If you're looking for bang for the buck, Cliq is a good option. lyn2006..thanks for the kind words! the height of our cabs is 36" with a 6" crown. Cliq didn't offer a crown that I was in love with so I worked with the designer to come up with the look you see...it is a combination of both the base/toe-kick moulding (placed upside down) with the curved crown on top. (My husband/installer was just thrilled with that decision ;) I'll try and take a closeup for you to see. The grout color was a light gray. We did work in a trash/recycling cabinet next to sink and I love it. The dark counters are great to work on..happy I went with the brushed/leathered finish as it hides everything. I'll try and take some pics of the corner cabs for you. marti8a..we didn't lose any space by expanding the kitchen. We did however take down the wall that divided the kitchen from our living room and did a 4 ft addition out the front of our house. This provided the room we needed to include a dining area and proper traffic space.

The changes can't be specified until you know what is in the switch box. If you are lucky, there is an incoming cable with hot and neutral, and three outgoing cables, each with a hot and neutral. In this case all you have to do is identify the black wire associated with the interior entry light and splice it to the black wire going to the other interior lights. If all of these fixtures are on the same breaker, then there is no need to move any neutral wires. (Neutrals are white, but not all whites are neutral.) If you are not lucky, there may be only two outgoing cables, and the one you are interested in is routed to both the interior entry light and the outside light. That would mean your desired change would require pulling a new cable in the wall. It is also possible that these are on switch loops, meaning the hot goes through the fixtures so there would be only two cables in the switch box. In this case there may be a black and a white on each switch. Such a white should by present good practice be marked black, but older wiring or people who haven't caught up with the practice might not mark them. There are other possible combinations as well. Take a look and then finish planning.

As far as I know, a Kichler light purchased from an authorized dealer (and Amazon is an authorized seller of Kichler products, per the Kichler website) are identical to Kichler lights purchased from a different authorized dealer, no matter who purchases them. We are in the process of redoing the landscaping in our backyard, and it involved putting in a low wall with three post lights. Our licensed landscape contractor proposed a post light that can be purchased at Lowe's for $50 each. The light I wanted (and what we ended up purchasing) is the Salisbury post light by Kichler ($315 each, plus the pedestal mounts at $59 each, for a total of $374 for each light). I ended up buying them from 1 Stop Lighting (an authorized dealer). With the discounts that the site offered, I ended up paying $609.40 (plus tax) for all three lights and all three mounts, which works out to $203.13 each. The lights were shipped to us directly from Kichler.
