Do you think these chairs will look good with this sofa?
Comments (14)If you are after comfort, I fear that the sofa you posted won't give it to you. That very flat tight tufted upholstery doesn't yield to bodies, and the squareness of the arms and back isn't shaped like people...so although it is a nice clean European modern look, you may prefer something else. Here's something from Crate & Barrel that could give you a modern look and more comfort. For chairs, consider a modern version of the klismos chair. Here is a site that shows what I mean...I have no knowledge of this company or the quality of this chair, but it is an example of the style. http://www.clubchairs.com/upholstered-club-chairs/contemporary/cloverchairloungewith2pillows.cfm Here is a link that might be useful: C&B Delaney Sectional...See MoreDo you think this looks good together?
Comments (6)I think the colors match ok, but with them both being largish prints I think they would be too busy/jumbled looking together. I'd have to see the finished product though to render a complete opinion. And of course, by then, you would have already made it......See MoreWhat do you think of this mirror for my DR?
Comments (12)I thought this furniture was pretty fancy 15 yrs ago when we bought it LOL! Not sure I'd put mahogany in a room with cherry floors, even if DH let me replace it. Plus it wouldn't look right with the rest of the farmhouse - esp. my new oak newels and rail (just got put up today - still need to trim out to hide screws). I don't know why the paint and drapes show as blue, /c they're green (Thornton Sage and Antique Jade paint, Seafoam drapes). The linen color is the roman shades that are already hung, I'm going to put up the drapes over them, probably just the panels and not the valances I bought (won't use holdbacks either). Here's the pic I currently have hanging in the room (wall against the stairs, over a small buffet). I don't absolutely love it though. And here's a pic of my great-grandma I wanted to hang, the original in oval frame is going to my great-aunt, but I have a copy I could put in the rectangular frame (with an oval mat?). Not sure I could hang Mary and the Madonna in the same room though? I don't know where I can use the Madonna, if I could get a similar frame (even just same size) with pic of great-grandpa, I would use those at the head of the table. And a huge frame (maybe even this one, if I can turn it into a shadowbox) with her wedding dress in it b/t the windows? I have to fix this frame too - a little trim came off the bottom right corner. But that just makes it look like a family heirloom, right ;-)?...See MoreDo you think this would look good in my front hall?
Comments (12)It's too small. Only 4" between each hook. Agree, look on etsy. Umbra makes these "Birdie Hooks", 3 for $17. You can buy as many as you need and place them anywhere on the wall. Magnet under the beak holds keys. While not a bird theme hook, Umbra also makes a really great flip hook where you can pull down the hook you want to use and push it back up when you don't want to use it, and you can space the hook use as you need it. I'm planning on a getting one for coats for a kitchen nook. In your place, I'd get either the longest (36") or two or three of the smaller ones and place them at different heights and spaces. Birds: These come in different lengths and colors...See MoreHU-187528210
