Paint Design Dilemma Exterior

Paint colours and exterior rejuvenation

Looking for ideas for the exterior of my home! I was thinking of painting the siding navy blue (hale navy) and the brick a white or light grey. I would then replace the front door and garage door and do a wood look (walnut?). If anyone has any suggestions or tips for exterior painting I would really appreciate the advice! Thanks!!

Hale navy would look great with the brick. I would not paint the brick. Could you post a closer picture?

Here are two more pics. The closer up one is the front entry so you can see the brick more closely. It is orangey with not a lot of variation. We were thinking of painting the siding and then reassessing the brick.

Help with our exterior paint colour

Would like recommendations for exterior paint colour for the garage and the bump out area around the windows. The windows have brown frames so will not be painted. The garage and the bump out is brown. The colour is looking tired to me. The brick is multi colour so was thinking of pulling colour from the more grey charcol brick or the white creamy brick for the two areas. The door was recently painted. We prefer Benjamin Moore paint.Any recommendations or ideas would be appreciated.

Hard to advise because, on my monitor, I see different colors in each photo. My idea would be to find a color in the bricks you like and paint the clapboard around the window in it and do the garage door the same. If you go neutral, then the pretty window trim color shows. I see pink undertone, just as I see pink undertone in the roof. Going with the lightest brick that I see.

Blue is a complement to the orange in the cedar and Green looks good with wood also. It is hard to imagine what to do with the red trim -- it really draws the eye in and distracts from the pretty natural elements around you. Try some samples next to the cedar and cover the existing paint/trim so you're not distracted by it. ETA: forgot to say that these are Sherwin Williams colors

Paint the foundation a tan from the stone, so it is less noticeable.

Green would look nice on the siding.

Here are some other blues to consider.

You might want to remove the tall evergreen bushes. Maybe they can be replanted somewhere else. Right now they are too big and seem very close to the foundation.

I think it looks much better in white than it would in navy. I would just paint the door so you have some contrast to the house, and improve your landscaping.

I feel like I can remember some question about whether all sidings could be painted in dark colors, since it means that the slats get so much hotter. Might want to check.

Our siding is canexel which from my reading we can paint dark colour. I looked into painting the trim around the windows black to create contrast instead of painting the siding but my understanding is that it can’t be painted and could contract and cause issues with the windows.
