ClickJacking Alert! new threat affects all browsers
Comments (14)it will redirect you and will take you to one of the sites that is auto installing the various versions of antivirus xp 2008/2009 or what ever they happen to be naming them, which are carrying many types of infections with it. This has gotten so prevalent now that the bad guys have discovered this method of taking over websites that everyone is trying to put out warnings to the community to try to make people aware if they see this suddenly happening to them NOT to click on any of the redirected pages, Not to buy any of the fake programs, but instead to immediately close out all instances of the browser, in some cases that will flush the urls out of the clipboard but not always in some it takes a reboot of the pc to clear the urls from the clipboard from what I have read. The best thing you can do is be very careful where you surf and where you click. If you use firefox you can use the no script add-on set as shown. The forums have been seeing many many cases of these exploits and several got them from very legit websites that had been hacked and a redirect put on the site. gillian don't panic about it but it is something we all need to be very aware of since it has been so on the increase. Hopefully adobe and the browsers can get some method out to help with this soon. It is better to be aware of this kind of thing so we know to come for help asap if we know we have been exposed to one of the redirects. If you see anything pop up saying it is scanning your pc and that you have infections or anything like that do NOT click anywhere on the page, close the browser or just go to start and reboot it. From what I have read the earlier versions of firefox are also affected. Also it is a good idea to go to your pc to your adobe and check for updates. You can also use the secunia inspector to see if it shows you have out of date programs. Updates should hopefully come out soon. The Secunia Online Software Inspector I just wanted to post so y'all would be aware of this stuff, don't freak out, just be alert. Always better to be prepared and educated than caught off guard....See MoreYou all know better than to open unknown E-Mail attachments, right?
Comments (8)Katlan, it's because someone of the people you have received a group email from has put the additional addresses in the "cc" (carbon copy) rather than the "bcc" (blind carbon copy) section. SO everyone on that list has a copy of your email address, and anyone whose PC is compromised will have your address harvested and then spam or worse sent back to you with that person's email address on it. This is one of my pet hates about people sending group email. Use "bcc" please, folks!...See MoreClick bags.
Comments (33)Click Bags Supplies needed to make 2 bags: 2 fat quarters 18” x 21/22”, one a print, the other complimentary or solid. (many fat quarters are now 18” x 21’ and that will change the size of your bag and the cutting instructions.) One metal tape measure. I prefer ¾” wide ones. You can use 5/8” wide ones, just make your folds ¾” then 1”. Directions: Cut 18” x 22” fabrics to 9” x 22” (stack them to cut) Cut 4 ½” off the length for the tabs, now your fabrics will be 9” x 17 ½” and 9 ½” 4 ½”. Cut the 9” x 4 ½” to 4 ½” x 4 ½”, you now have 8 squares, 2 of lining and 2 of outside fabric. You will use the lining fabric for the tabs. Fold 2 squares for each bag into a triangle and press. Fold the triangles into half to make smaller triangles and press. You now have made your tabs. Fold purse pieces (9” x 17 ½”) in half, right sides together, sew ½” side seams. Make diagonal corners on lining and outer fabric pieces and stitch across about 1” from point. Turn outer fabric right side out. Tuck lining fabrics into outer fabric, wrong sides together, pin around the top. Fold over top edge to the outside, 3/4” and pin. Fold over top edge again, 1 1/8” and pin. Take 2 triangles (tabs) and tuck one on each side of purse (centered) and pin. This is when you need to have a drop arm on your sewing machine! Stitch around edge to make casing, leaving open about 1 ½” at one of the seams for inserting tape measure. At this point I sew down the one side seam to keep the 2 pieces of tape measure apart when inserted. Open your tape measure ALL THE WAY and using old, crappy scissors cut it away from the case. Cut one end of the tape rounded. Hold the tape up to the bag and see where you need to make the next cut for the length needed (you will need 2 pieces about 8” each for each bag). Cut other end of tape to rounded. Slide tape into casing. Do the same with the other side. Finish sewing the 1 ½” opening (the tape folds easily so you can do this), then sew up and down the last side seam to keep tape from shifting. Warning: when cutting the tape measure, you can get very tiny slivers of metal that are very sharp. Be careful not to get any on the floor. I cut mine while holding it down into a trash bag in a can! Comments (32)Oh! These are great little bags! Kathy gave me one when we met several years ago. I love mine! I keep little things for knitting and crocheting in mine, to keep with whatever project I am working on. If you win one, you will love it!...See Morekathyg_in_mi
