Lets see some flowers and pods...
Comments (21)Ohhhh, that clausa!!!! Love it. I have a second clausa coming from the Hurlbert benefit auction, cannot help but try to get some of those deep purples. And I have a few here with scapes but not near as many as I'd expected. A bit too cautious with the sunlight perhaps? Anyway, here is Fragrant King: H.'Barbara' DSM Nakaiana 2 Lederhosen, in process of blooming There are others, but I do not have the flowers indexed on all plants...See MoreHere's some pictures I love. Let's see some of yours.
Comments (19)Aunt Jen my long lost retro soul sister :) That big chill fridge in your delicious picture is the second half of the first kitchen picture I posted with the lime laminate counters and vintage stove. I love that whole kitchen, it makes me smile :) Powermuffin .. yay, another cool chair aficionado! :) I'm going through a cute chair phase in life it seems, every vintage chair I find IRL .. I day dream new cute fabric on it. :D Still looking for the perfect pair of chairs to bring home to send to the reupholsters....See MoreOH, my, let's see some "O" daylilies
Comments (15)I have more O's than I though I did. I will have to put these in two entries. Ocean Depths was new last year and here it is still in a pot. It is a diploid, which we don't grow many of, but this is a club plant we are babysitting for 3 years. Oceans Eleven is a small flower and the scapes are short, but it outdid itself last summer. Off to the Races has gotten covered in weeds so it hasn't been able to show its true potential. The first couple of years I was ready to dig up and throw away Oktoberfest, but in its third season it really began to perform. Old Time Memories has a large bright flower. On the Lookout is a small flowered variety that is registered as cream with a rose red eye. I don't call that eye rose red. On Your Knees You Will Find Him is a nice toothy variety, but it won't set seeds for me. We lost Open My Eyes, but I don't know if it was the weather or voles. We decided not to replace it because it is so short. We decided that Sam Abell is similar in color, but a better plant. We just planted Orange Blossom Trail last summer. This picture was taken in Florida. Bob came back with a long list of orange daylilies he wanted to try after visiting Dan Trimmer's place. Orange Firecat has a large flat bloom. It produced many proliferations last year. I hope they all make it through the winter. I have a couple more to post. Nancy...See MorePlease, let us see some of your hoya leaves )
Comments (51)Brett Osborn, that is exciting plant mail :) I hope they arrive soon for you! They are both so cool looking. Undulata is definitely another of my most favorites and Grey Ghost. Udulata lost the new baby leaf it shipped with but 26 days later it grew another and the new leaf has such a sheen to it. The camera doesn’t quite show it. A month after that and it is working on another new leaf. Grey Ghost arrived July 27th. It has a bit of off colors since it’s been in my care but it has a new leaf and vine coming, so I guess it’s ok. It’s a little harder for me to tell on this plant how I’m doing for it. Possibly afternoon sun shines in and I need to move it. I’m happy it has new growth. VL9 is another I adore.....See MoreBill M.
