Dilemma on new roof and gutter color

last modified: 3 years ago

My home is almost 20 years old. (This photo is several years ago.) Due to hail damage I'm getting new roofing and gutters. Currently my home is almost all brick with some EIFS at the entry only. The EIFS is going away.....too many leaking problems. I'll probably replace with some sort of concrete siding. I'll also be getting a new entry door and sidelights. The brick is not painted, this is the actual brick color. I see some trend with dark (almost black) shingles and dark gutters. Not sure if that would be a good look on my house. Also, if I were to use dark shingles and gutters, should the trim along the roof be painted to match the roof/gutters? On some houses I've seen, it's not painted. Therefore the gable areas have the white trim and the hip areas have the dark guttering.....not sure about that look. Any ideas? I wish I had a program to try different looks on my house.
