Woodmode Brookhaven White with Benjamin Moore BM White Dove Trim?????

I’m really having trouble selecting the right white to go with BM’s white dove trim. Has anyone else had to make this decision when deciding on a white cabinet from Brookhaven or Wood Mode? Alpine white had a duller undertone, and the trim is brighter. But I don’t want to select a white that is stark compared to the creamy tone.

Is this an existing home with trim that is already painted White Dove?

if so, I think the above posters may be suggesting that you pick out your cabinet color and repaint your trim to match your cabinet based on a color match to your cabinet.

or if that is not an option..pick out a cabinet color with a lot of contrast to your WD trim, so it looks purposeful.

Custom color match the trim to the cabinets. There are millions of options outside of a paint deck. I rarely use deck colors, and most often do custom color matches.

It’s a 25% Mark up to custom match. Not an option for me.

I agree. I really dislike too much gray. That is why I thought White Dove was a good choice becasue it is a warmer white. I am only doing agreeable gray on the walls in the kitchen becasue that is the color that was alredy in the kitchen when we moved in (we had to redo kitchen becasue of leak). I am open to another color on the walls in the kitchen. The granite we will have is Bianco Romano Supreme. any suggestions for a wall color that will look good with white cabinets and this granite? while were at it.....any ideas on a good color for the isalnd? Thanks to everyone for their help.

Hi Julia, I purchased Levalor Designer Colors Whisper #19470101. The light filtering is a good color match with the paint. The blackouts are darker, and maybe slighter gray-er due to the backing, but I'm happy with how they coordinate and function in the bedroom. I used blinds.com. Two arrived fine, one was damaged and had to be remade. They reordered immediately but it still took several weeks to arrive. Hope that helps!

@tugby It will look like primer, if youre gonna leave the wall bare. But when you hang art pieces on the wall that's a different story. It will actually make furniture and accessories pop! So it all depends on your preference. Im back to square one on colors again. omg! Haha! Pure white looks it can tie everything together. Look at pictures haha! Its either Pure White, Simply White, White Dove, or Alabaster. Snowbound is another beautiful color however I heard its not a good whole house paint color.

No, match the TRIM, to your choice of cabinet colors. Not the cabinets to the trim. We do this all the time, and it creates a great integrated appearance.

The ideal is to match paint to furnishings, not the other way around. Paint can be colour matched to anything. Am I understanding correctly that you're married to the BM White Dove trim and want a white cabinet that is brighter? Perhaps compare cost of custom matching cabinet vs repainting trim?
