Try some pale blues for the currently green kitchen walls. They'll contrast nicely with the cabinets and the adjacent room's whiter paint.

I would paint your walls decorators white, they will probably look fine. I would also straighten out your crooked electrical outlet on your backsplash.

Thanks, I was super worried they would look yellow with the Decorators white being so white and having a blue undertone.

I completely agree about the outlet! It drives my sister nuts everytime she looks at it!

Please show a photo where the kitchen transitions to living room. If you can take another photo, prop up a kitchen drawer in front of a Decorator's White wall, if you've already painted it somewhere.

The only room I've painted so far with decorators white is my upstairs masters bedroom which is open and big with lots of windows. I don't think I can get a cupboard close enough to a wall to show it against the white..I'll have to do a test wall.

Will it all flow it if paint it all white? In regards to the whole home clash comment.

trying to keep it simple and go all one colour but questioning if kitchen should be a different colour. Prior to re-painting there were toooo many colours and I didn't love it.

Fieri hit the nail on the head. Either you can use a distinct color just for the kitchen or you can use an off white color that coordinates well with the kitchen. Painting a foamcore board with the Decorator's White, then putting it in the kitchen will tell you how well it works.

Luckily, there is no need for the upstairs white to match the downstairs white exactly. Both levels can look "white" without being the exact same white.

If the kitchen is open to the rest of the house, I would continue the same paint color throughout the space - it creates a uniformity. You're mixing white on white - it works. It will look more odd if you have two different paint colors in the same space.

Be careful , Decorators white has green undertones. It is crisp cool white. Your cabinets can look dingy. I would try better Alabaster or White Dove with yellow undertone, warmer.

We used Chantilly Lace on our trim and ceilings and I would consider going with a warmer white throughout now just to please the kitchen..but will that still look okay with the Chantilly Lace white trim? I'm definitely going for a more modern and cool look.

With the floor...counter and splash being in the same vein color wise...it should read as an accent color/contrast with all the white...rather than a mismatch...

So following thru with your white in the kitchen should work

I would take one of your doors in to match your color, then go lighter in a related shade. Any other white will look blue or other off-color. Whites can be tricky.

I would paint the cabinets before i would change all the walls...the cabinet color will not be disguised with a new wall color...and with all the surrounding bright white ...they will leave the kitchen feeling a little drab..and lastly the bright white is beautiful i would keep that..for sure

I just went through this same situation. I have off white glazed cabinets in my kitchen and I didn't want to change them so I chose the same color warm (SW antique white) paint I had on my trim in half formula and painted all the trim and walls the this same color. If you compare the paint to a true white it still looks very creamy but without any contrast (other than sheen) between the trim and walls it feels like a nice warm white space. Not too bright but not too creamy either. It also made the space feel much larger because there are no definitive stripes around the room!

FYI - I am an interior designer and I looked at many, many options before going this direction and I am very happy with the outcome.

I hate to go buy an all new paint colour but definitely will if the decorators white isn't going to work.

I'm going to paint a door or something to compare like was suggested.

I should also add this isn't a full kitchen re-do.. painting the cabinets are not an option right now. We built this house only 7 years ago and so it was just paint I was looking to update. Thanks :)
