Did I pick wrong flooring? How can I fix this?
Comments (4)If you are going to change out the rest of the wood flooring to the gunstock, you will need to do it ASAP. Most "man made" or "factory finished" floors have a shelf life of 18 months. If it has been 9 months already, you may never find enough of the gunstock to complete the rest of the home. For me, obtaining "the rest" of the flooring is of the utmost importance (if you are still thinking that way). The trim can always be painted. And I for one have no problem with the window trim. It is far enough away from the gunstock to "work". The problem comes when the floor and the molding are "touching" (like in your last photos). I would bet the window trim will be fine...but the floor baseboards need to get some paint on them to get rid of this clash. That's about all I would worry about. But first things first - find out if the gunstock is still available. If it is, then you are SUPER luck and should purchase it as soon as physically possible. You are running out of time to "do more" with this engineered product....See MoreDid I over-prune my bamboo palm? Pics included
Comments (8)Thanks for the response! I mean, I think they were dead. If there was only one or two dried and shriveled leaves I would just cut those. But there were quite a few branches where ever single one was brown and dry and crispy. I wonder why it’s doing this. Could it be the moving stress? it’s by a south facing window with filtered light through the blinds, a humidifier running 24/7 right next to it, only water with filtered water when the top few inches of soil are dry. And I used a cactus / citrus / palm organic mix and the pot has a drainage hole. These guys are supposed to be hardy, if I can’t manage him I don’t think I can manage any plants :( also, just out of curiosity, does the after picture look over-pruned or cleaned up? I feel like it’s a fine line....See MoreI want to know how I can fix these floors on budget solution?

Comments (2)I'm betting your sink is leaking. There are probably no clips between the rear of the cabinet front and the sink. The steel on the flat of the divided sink is flexing, allowing dirty sink water to get sucked between the sink flange and the bottom of the top through capillary action. Open your dishwasher and see if you see a 1/4" yellow line heading toward the sink. That would be a reinforcement rod that's going to rust and burst your countertop. I get a call a week for this and fix a couple every month. Drop the sink and take a Bernz-O-Matic to the stone until it's dried. Clean the sink flange and stone bottom, silicone, and strap, not clip or block, your sink in place. May as well replace it with a single bowl while you're at it....See Moreevdesert 9B Indio, CA
