I was wondering does anyone know how Liv Tyler happened to get a rose named after her? She seems so young for that.

A friend of mine blurted out, ‘how the h3ll did she get her own rose named after her!?’. LOL, I had thought the same thing.

But HERE she is graciously accepting her rose, that was awful sweet of her.

Liv Tyler (the woman) is so beautiful and talented; it doesn't surprise me in the least that someone named a rose after her!

Yeah, it was originally named Comtesse de Provence...I like that name better...even though I think her work in The Lord of the Rings trilogy made Liv Tyler pretty famous...plus maybe her dad Steven Tyler bought the naming of the rose for her??? Who knows. :)

Carla - that's a BEAUTIFUL rose!

I just saw this rose locally ( well an hour away so not local local ) and it did smell so so good !!! I passed on it and of course I regret it . Yours is beautiful Carla !

I originally bought it while walking through a nursery and I thought "Why do I smell apricots??" When it's warm and in the sun, Liv Tyler smells EXACTLY like cooking apricot jam.

I’ve labeled her Comtesse de Provence in my yard too. She does indeed smell wonderfully of apricots.

That was her last year. This spring she’s recovering from a double whammy of polar vortex and voracious bunnies, I’ve covered her with chicken wire and looks like she’ll make it.

Ms. Tyler was FANTASTIC in TLof TR-she doesn't need her dad's fame to earn her respect, IMO.

Wow Ben--I never knew you suffer from bunnies! And your roses STILL look like that!!

Bart - yes, she was fabulous in TLOTR. No disagreement there. And she may be the most beautiful woman in existence!
