fwiw...some cheapie hints... Home Depot online can be accessed through EBates, which gives a little rebate for the referral. Go to Ebates first (have to register), then go to HD. Some of the other online kitchen stuff companies are also available through the Ebates internal referral service. I got a $35 refund check from them one month. I wish I had known about Ebates before I spent big bucks on two cast iron sinks and two faucets through HDepot online. Look for online codes and/or holiday discounts from the various vendors. You'd be surprised what are considered "holidays" by the online companies. Mayday might be a 10% off day, that kind of thing. I know that "Black Friday" after Thanksgiving was a good discount day (actually the entire weekend and the Monday afterward) and even April Fool's Day had a discount for some vendors. Often the home web page for a company has today's discount code listed on it. I've sometimes emailed the company on the "contact us" and asked point-blank, "Is there a discount today or in the next week which I need to type in when I buy online?" Often they give me the info. Or they tell me to register for their email newsletter so I can snag the upcoming code for the next "sale." At least that tells me that there is a sale coming up.

How wide is your sink base? If it's not at least 33" (and really, at least 36"), I would go with a single bowl. If your base will be at least 36" and this is your only sink in the Kitchen for prepping, then you might like a 60/40 double bowl sink I would definitely stay away from a double bowl sink with equal size bowls (unless the sink base is at least 48" wide and the sink is wide enough to fill it up). If you have a prep sink and it's located correctly, then you might go ahead with a single bowl regardless of the sink base size. My DH cleans up and he prefers a 60/40 (really more like 67/33) double bowl sink. He uses the small bowl for soaking silverware and the like while he uses the large bowl for rinsing, if needed (some things do need rinsing or soaking - but not all.) He doesn't have to worry about where to store a dish bin when not in use (we don't have room to store such a large item) or have to get out a pot to use to soak something (none would really fit silverware). The prep sink that I use is a single bowl, but it's only 15-3/4" square - interior (yes, I wish it were wider). There are pros & cons to both configurations - think about how you work. Will you and your DH be sharing the sink - one prepping/cooking while the other cleans up or maybe two of you prepping. If so, a double bowl sink may be better. If you are the sole cook and bottle washer (or your DH is), then maybe a single bowl will suffice - but be sure you plan how you will handle the need for a smaller bowl when you don't want to fill up the expanse of a single bowl sink - have a dish bin handy, for example. Another option is a double bowl sink with a low divide. It's a double bowl sink, but the divider is shallower than the entire sink so, if needed, a pan's handle or a large refrigerator shelf will fit inside the sink. For reference, here's my cleanup sink and what it holds: The large bowl holds everything except the full-length deli drawer and glass shelf from my refrigerator. you cant take a plant that has been indoors for 10 years and stick it out in full sun ... without properly hardening it off to such ... but if you were to cut it down to just above where the new shoot is.. then it wont have any leaves to sunburn.... so you might get away with it ... and since you will have a big piece ... see if you can propagate/root small pieces .. and start new .. and if you do that .. then i would just throw out the old plant ... since you cutting are the old plant .. you arent losing the plant ... if its not obvious.. it is severely pot bound ... and i wonder if there is actually any potting media in that pot ... which means you probably have watering issues [especially if you put it out in full sun] .. which is probably why the leaves are so off color.. if not for all the accumulated salts in the old media ... ken
