"Mario Buatta, the New York designer nicknamed the "Prince of Chintz," concocts a mix of Benjamin Moore White and Linen White for many of his neutral rooms." No clue where I got this quote but I saved it because I actually think it's rather genius. Well maybe not GENIUS but I can see how it'd be a good idea in some situations. Wonder if it'd work for you. You don't have to buy gallons to try it. The colors might be available in sample pots. Or just buy quarts and give it a go if you want.

We just did a podcast about that very thing this week, Pal. I think there is basis to using color in strategic ways. There are methods for to applying color psychology to support a specific environment  like a school, a restaurant, a hospital, etc. However, I have a hard time agreeing that color psychology applied 'makes' people eat faster. Using higher saturated colors from the typically designated "warm" side of a basic color wheel like red, orange, yellow to create an atmosphere that's high energy, intensity - and even volume - would align with the goal of encouraging people to move quickly. And a reasonable result would be that people are motivated by, and perhaps even mirror, the psycho-physiologial momentum of a high energy color palette. Or, could say lingering would not be an activity supported by those color choices. That, I can agree with. A color that fits common descriptions of terra cotta, or muted, dark oranges, could have the same affect. But like every other color and situation it would depend on context; how it's used, the circumstance of the other parts of the color palette. One of my favorite terra cotta paint colors is Hitching Post. It's a Pittsburgh Paints color from the Porter paints palette. Another oldie but goodie is Iced Tea from Behr. There might be a couple good candidates in the new Martha Stewart palette at Home Depot too...

I wouldn't recommend drilling into terra cotta brick for drop in or expansion anchors. That stuff shatters and the hole gets pretty ragged. I did a cell tower antenna co-location job recently, and the building had terra cotta brick everywhere under the plaster and lath (building was ancient). We had to anchor the cable trays and mechanical equipment to the walls and ceilings and it was miserable. We ended up having to free-stand the trays. The brick wouldn't holding anything more than a #10 moly with 10-15 pounds on it. If you free-stand it (which I think you should do if the wall is in poor shape), think about framing out a support carrier from floor to ceiling, right up against the wall. Let the carrier take the load, not the wall. Anchor the carrier securely at the floor and the ceiling joists, then install the TV's support plate. Then if you want, sheath the carrier with plywood, drywall, tile, etc, what ever makes it look good. Finish it to your taste. But let the carrier take the load, not the wall. If you're dead set on using the wall, use chem-anchors (2-part epoxy and a piece of threaded rod). They sell them in kits. They're pretty much indestructible. If the wall is in good sound condition, 4-6 chem anchors will work. Another trick is called fish plating. You basically through-bolt some threaded rod all the way through the wall. But you end up with nuts and washers exposed on the outside, unless you counter sink them and grout over.

If you look at the Color Gallery on the Benjamin Moore Website, and search Chelsea Gray, and look under the "More Shades" link at the bottom, the following lighter colors are shown: 1611 Gray Tint 1472 Silver Chain 1474 Cape May Cobblestone 1475 Graystone 1471 Shoreline 1473 Gray Huskie round out the upper end of the strip. It's likely that Chelsea Gray is essentially one of the colors on the dark end of the strip with a different name. Try one of these. You could also go white and do White Dove, like you did in the other room.
