This is an older post but how are people's Ebbe Drains holding up? The Ebbe Drain has a plastic flange and the sales people at the kitchen and bath showroom said they are "crap". I have already purchased them and paid for the heavy duty decorative cover which was not inexpensive and the salespeople recommended that I rip them out if possible. They have not been tiled in yet but have been installed. Hope to hear some more positive reviews, they have a lifetime warranty so I'm thinking they aren't "crap" and should be fine. Any opinions on the durability of the flange? Thank you!

seems like it could be a tough one since smell is subjective (although there's probably something out there that can measure smell) plus if more than 1 of u can smell it that'll help. I'm just thinking ahead if u need to file a complain with the licensing board. How long has it been since u texted him? was a good with texts before? i hope he's getting in touch with who he will and then get back to u but would be nice if he let u know he got your msg and will deal with it. I have a very sensitive nose so this problem would be a big one for me. I just got a bunch of air purifiers and have been learning more about pure air. your nose is telling u something. glad u r listening to your body

I just finished a remodel and I got drains from Designer Drains Designer Drains I had original planned on the kind of drain which has tile to match the tile of my shower floor but there was some miscommunication when the rough was installed so it would have been too high with the floor. I am really happy with the drain I selected - it is oil rubbed bronze to match the rest of the fixtures in my bathroom and a style that complements the Art Deco elements in my bathroom. I have a hair strainer installed. I opted for a drain without screws to make actually cleaning the hair strainer easier since I wouldn't have to screw and unscrew the drain for cleaning. I am pretty certain that sewer monsters won't come up through my shower drain :-). There are also after market hair strainers that work well. Prior to my remodel I had one which was just a square grid on top of the existing drain cover. That was fine since I had a plain chrome drain cover and the grid cover looked like the drain essentially. With my new remodel I wanted the kind of hair strainer that was below the drain cover

Linear drains are often outrageously priced. They are all pretty similar in terms of how they are designed, their dimensions, and how they function. I'm not an expert on Schluter pan assemblies, but I don't see why you couldn't use some other brand's linear drain. I installed Luxe brand linear drains in two of my showers and they are a heavy gauge, high quality, stainless steel product. The larger of the drains was 54" long and cost less than $200.
