Need some help with backsplash decision for my friend: (pics)
Comments (6)I have noticed that quite a few people are using the same granite on the backsplash as on the countertops, which is a very clean modern look. Not sure if this would appeal to her more than tile though, just something to toss out there, for what its worth. Otherwise, I agree the enhanced Noce subway tile would look best. And is very classic and timeless....See MoreHelp with backsplash decision...plz!

Comments (23)Smpop, as A2 mentioned above, I have linear mixed glass, stone and stainless mosaic tile in my kitchen so I obviously love the type of tile you are considering. My granite while actually splotchy reads as more of a solid color and I only used the tile behind the cooktop, so I don't think it looks too busy in my kitchen. Here is a look at mine: For your kitchen, I agree with many of the other posters that the mosaic that you show is great but might not look great in your kitchen. I think you could still go with a linear mosaic tile but I would look for it in a single color or tone on tone color. It is difficult to tell exactly the color that works with your granite but I think something like this glossy linear ceramic might work: Or maybe a frosted and glossy glass like this Those two are from Glass Tile Oasis. You can order samples on line. Good luck with your tile decision. Your kitchen is very nice, so warm and inviting. Comments (7)A white hex but contrast the grout a bit. Saying that I’m not sure how many colors it may be avail. It’s a very cool look. Your kitchen has a bit retro vibe w the white slab doors and simplified layout. I will be hinting at my age but in the 1960’s this is what there was. Maybe a pendant light over a peninsula ... still w chrome hardware . No islands yet. Maybe a little open living area beyond w some shag carpet And a sectional. Your kitchen has a bit of a throwback like that and you can have a bit of fun maybe w a colored hex . I say hex because because it’s an older shape but the newer versions are really interesting so you get old plus new ....and not overwhelming. So add color and so good for your plain space (maybe!!!!) mauve or taupe . If you had white counters imagine orange hex tiles...( yes)...See Morelcrouter
