Keeping the countertops the same ties the island to the wall cabinets, especially with the colors being so completely different. We did a wood island with white wall cabinets as a display in our showroom, to show a variety of finishes and color schemes. However that is not typically what clients want in their homes. Unless the second color is very similar to the first it will look too haphazard. Cambria shows two different products here but they are so similar they blend well together. Generally we see more kitchens like this, with the same countertop throughout. Best of luck!

there is other companies that use gold fleck: LG and Samsung. But nothing compares to the pattern and quality of Cambria.

Coastal, what you should do is start your own thread, so that more people can see it, instead of taking over someone else's thread and fishing for comments. You would get a lot more people helping you to address your issue, and perhaps even Cambria would help you. Start your own thread, explain the situation clearly, explain what you have done to try to remedy the situation and what the companies that you have a contract with have done or said in response to your complaints. Show pictures. Show well-lit photos of what you thought you were getting, compared to what you actually got. Give folks a chance to actually HELP you, instead of just venting. There are instances where, with help from pros and regulars in these forums, that companies have replaced countertops. Let's see what you got.
