Biting flying tiny insects round compost
Comments (2)I think these will probably be sciarid flies - commonly fruit flies. Cover your compost with a dry material such as leaves, straw or bracken and see it that reduces there activities. Sorry I can't be of further help but I don't like suggesting chemicals although I'm sure there will be some suitable. Here is a link that might be useful: my website...See MoreGnats Biting Me?
Comments (4)There are sooo many biting critters out there! Ron, I used to live in an area where sand gnats were a torture. I'm thinking that blueheron might be plagued by what we called no see 'ums.....nearly invisible to the naked eye, but do they ever bite. They're a type of midge. There are also biting thrips but most people are aware of them flitting around their heads. Do you have a wetland, pond, marshy area, or poorly drained swale near you? The biting midges have a semi-aquatic life cycle. When these or other insects like them are bothersome, I'm afraid that it's up to each of us to find the personal protection that works best for us. One can't spray the environment to get rid of these things. There are lots of good insect repellents on the market....See MoreHelp! Bites on legs, now migrated to neck area!
Comments (13)Place some packing tape, sticky side up, around your bed to see what you collect. You may have fleas, spiders, or some other insect. A regular perimeter treatment around your foundation with an insecticide will tend to keep invasive insects at bay. You do not have to have a pet to get fleas in your home. They can be carried in from the yard on the cuffs of your pants. Seal all cracks and holes in your foundation to prevent insect and rodent pests. Seal around all entries into your home where pipes and wires enter. You can, of course, call an exterminator. For a small fee each month, you can have peace of mind that the interior and exterior perimeters of your home are treated for insects. Comments (898)iv been under attack for 19 months and it turns out... im about 90% sure its bird and rat mites. I didnt think so for a long time because no matter where I go they swarm and bite. I knew we had a rat infestation but as i said.. I would get swarmed and bitten in the grocery store or really just anywhere Id go. But it now makes sense. My attacks started around the time the lockdown was ending and Rats became a huge problem all over the city. Im the only person who can feel the bites and swarms btw and that also had me extremely confused. But its as simple as some people feel them and most others do not. Not one product helped relieve the pain or reduce the bites and I really tried just about everything. Turns out undiluted rubbing alcohol will kill them right away so give it a try when they are biting and on ur body. it will not get rid of them, and if ur having the same issue as I am, then the worst parts of the attacks like being suffocated or insects going into my eyes , ears,, and every single other hole in my body. thats still an issue. But it does help with the extreme biting on my skin. so check around for rats. If thats the issue... look it up online and you will find info on how to treat it. try typing " tropical rat mites" basically you MUST remove the rats completely. I hope this helps someone because this is by far the worst thing that i feel could ever happen to anyone physically. and anyone that doesn't feel what we are feeling has absolutely no idea whatsoever the pain and suffering we are going through....See MoreFori
