Comments (150)Chris, I would be interested in any tomato seeds that you may have extra of. My hubby and I were just talking about what to put in the veggie garden last night. My family likes canteloupe, watermelon, tomatoes, cumcumbers, and green beans. Would be interested in anything unusual, fun for the kids! But if you've got everything ready for Patty, or have it mailed, please don't worry about me!! I wasn't able to send to everyone either. I really wanted to though!! Patty, I'm going to have my daughter mail off my seeds today. I'll post when they've made it to the P.O. Have a good day everyone! Comments (13)What's in the armoire? I would place it opposite the fireplace to serve as a visual counter balance to it. Then put your TV on the former armoire wall, above a credenza 25% wider than the TV. Hang large art 5" above the mantel. Use your sofa table behind the sofa without the buffet lamps (do you have a formal dining room for them?) Remove the bergere chair as it doesn't fit the casual feeling of the other seating pieces. Do you have a foyer where it would be pretty? Put the large armchair in its place. Try a new, more casual feeling rug and drapes. Replace all the other art and photos with new art. Hang pieces centered 5' above the floor or 5" above furniture. Upgrade all the lamps and add a nice ceiling fixture in place of the fan. If you like the idea of a mirror above the mantle, you could install a pretty chandelier to be reflected in it....See MoreUpdating bedroom keeping mahogany furniture
Comments (3)Mahogany Furniture doesn't have to be in style, it's a classic! When I got my first job, I redid my bedroom: I bought a Mahogany four-poster bed, dresser and bureau. I painted my bedroom apple green. Can't remember the curtains etc, but, me being a teenage girl at the time, white eyelet rings a bell LOL. I really loved that color scheme and that bedroom. Whatever you do, have fun!...See MoreMy rug budget is low, but I’d still like the whole thing!
Comments (27)Hi Jinx, Not sure if you are venting cat stuff (can relate!) or if you really do want to get a rug on a budget... We have a cat, used to have catS and we live in the dirty woods. I have a real Persian rug that can handle the cat (all our animals over the years prefer to yak and have accidents on the authentic Persian rug, not the $60 walmart special right next to it). But I had to replace our $60 wm special, which I really did adore. After much head scratching and searching, I found this on Wayfair a year or so ago. 5x9 and a matching 3x5 rug for nearby. Both for under $200 with free shipping. It came in many different color combos and also many different patterns and sizes. It's adequate quality for our needs what with woods living and cat who thinks we don't know she angry scratches it at night when we are sleeping. I put my price limits in the search engine and I sifted through about 500+ offerings. I felt pretty good about the purchase and still do. If my authentic Persian FIL saw the new rugs he would be upset, but he doesn't have to live in the woods and worry about a good rug. The new robot vacuum can handle the fringe but does do "that" to it (shown in photo). I'm fine with it. I have so many other things to clean and take care of I found out I don't care if the fringe is a little out of sorts. Anyhow, it's good enough and I don't have to worry about it between dirt and cat activities. I think we'll get quite a few years out it and when the shown side gets yucky, I'll turn it around and start fresh again with the side that lives under the ottoman and chair. :)...See Moreauntthelma
