Would love to trade for the purple emperor. Things I could trade: kalanchoe thyrsiflora, cuttings with roots of philodendron burle marx (a small, creeping phil. that looks nice in a pot by itself, or trailing), monstera obliqua (again, a cutting with roots). Let me know if you'd like pictures or more info. These things I named would all be cold sensitive in your zone, but would work in a sunny window. Anna

That would be excellent, they seem to be the resident ID-ers! Thank you both for the Crassula half of the ID, that goes along with some of the guesses I've gotten so far. My friend has literally taken pieces of this plant to garden centers and farmers market people to try and get an ID. The best he got so far was a guy who guessed Sedum, so I tossed that one into the title too, just in case.

This is the SIlver Dollar Jade (C. Arboresens) you talked about, right? (With sunburned Crassula ovata Hobbit behind it) Also, while I browse my old picture, I think I actually have the wavy leaf (Blue Bird) version of C. Arborescens? I have attached a picture from last summer, you can see the younger C. Arborenscens with wavy leaf. (Top of the three) And the younger C.Arborenscens (Silver Dollar Tree - right bottom one) in the picture too. Wish any of you can share a matured C. Arborescens 'Blue Bird' to see if it keeps the wavy leaves when it grows up. :)

Hey Purple, There's a lot of succulents one can grow w/out any spikes (which I do not allow in my house at all). Gasterias, Haworthias, Aloes, Sansevierias (how could I almost forget them?) various types of Crassulas, lots to choose from. Yet some Euphorbia miliis (Crown of Thorns) have spikes (thorns really & oddly enough they've wormed their way into my collection). I've got 4 or 5 of these in total now, just left a large one out in my bldg's laundry (before the Hurricane), & didn't think anyone would mess w/ it 'cause of its thorns (like those of a rose). It was getting too big for my place anyway, & someone swiped it pretty fast. I had pruned it into very nice shape. It was a stingy bloomer of yellow flowers (bracts really), wasn't even blooming & someone swiped it!!
