Comments (6)Thank you for the comments! Mrs. OF is a Hybrid Tea, but an old one. She turns 100 next year. Now that the bud has opened, I tried to get the pretty stamens. My phone camera is not great. It can't seem to catch the color which is more orange to my eye. Will have to try again one day in natural light....See MoreA big thanks to Oakley for posting the DVT question a while back
Comments (43)Thank you all as this really has turned into an ordeal on all fronts. We still haven't been able to bury my stepdad due to my mom having Alzheimer's and he was her Power of Attorney and are now waiting on the court to handle our application for them to assign my friend to handle some of this for my mom. I think we finally found a work around to do the burial and hoping to hear good news on that front soon. I won't be traveling back for it until I feel my medical issues are at least known. I finally have an appointment with the Hematologist on Monday. Hoping to find out more what it means and I hope I have the same experience as you Funky. As of now my understanding is that I don't have Lupus. I don't have any of the Lupus symptoms, but it could be early and this is the first sign. The test is called Lupus Anticoagulant and it is common that those that have Lupus also have this, but from my reading it doesn't mean all that have Lupus have this or all that test positive for it have Lupus. I'm hoping I for now fall in the latter category....See MoreOakley, Check-In Please!
Comments (5)I'm not Oakley, but I live in OK. in the North east part of the state which I think is not too far from where she lives. The damage in the state that was shown on National TV was in Norman which is more or less in the OK City metro. . A little east of OK City and central south west OK also had some damage. The north-east part of the state was very windy through Sunday night, but no damage....See MoreA Thank You to Oakley
Comments (17)I missed all of this but I’m glad I saw it today! First of all, I hope you are all on the mend completely. Second, it may explain my toe. One night a few weeks ago I dropped my cell phone on my foot. The corner of the phone hit that dinky fourth toe, the one tucked between the middle and baby toes. Yeah, it hurt, but I figured I was going to bed and the foot would be elevated anyway. I considered an ice pack, but gee, it was 11pm, so I didn’t. Since then it seems to be following what I just looked up about deep bone bruising! Because it was so localized, I haven’t felt the need for a pain cream or reliever, just was a little careful and didn’t wear shoes for a few days. I don't think I need to see the doctor at this point, if it is going to take that long to heal anyway. It is funny, though, that now a very localized spot on the tip of the toe is tender, nowhere else. Probably due to some blood pooling?...See MoreJilly
