Comments (2)I love this furniture set. It is beautiful. The only drawback is the finish is rather delicate. I have some scratches where a cat has jumped on it and some scratches from coins and jewelry has been placed daily on the top. The head board back board can be removed to leave open slats if you like. The other furniture has matching wood work on the legs going up to the top. On another note, the furniture is large and heavy. The construction is a very good quality too. Be sure your room is big enough for the set. I have the King bed, dresser, tall boy and two night stands and the mirror in a room that is about 15' by 13.5' it fits nicely in there. I searched for four years before finding it and purchased it out of a store catalogue....See MoreArea rugs- size to go under king bed
Comments (8)I have a 10x13 under my king sized bed. Right now it's centered under the bed, but in a previous house, it was off center with a runner on the other side. I think it's a good size. There are a few feet of rug showing on either side of the bed and at the end. The "top" of the rug goes to just before the bedside tables, so the tables are sitting on the wood floor. To me it seems like just the right size. I think a 6x9 (or so) accent rug would also work well if you're just looking to put some color in the room....See MoreIf I have two large rugs in a room how different should they be?
Comments (16)I really don't think there is any way to state what looks good in all cases, categorically. As with most things, It Depends.....on your colors, your furniture, the architecture of the rooms, and not the least the two rugs themselves. I honestly cannot imagine you making a mistake in this area, Bumble, with your eye for color and shape. And in my own opinion, having one beautifully patterned rug and one jute or seagrass rarely works. It takes away from the neutral texture (practically mumbling audibly 'I'm here because I'm unimportant") and gives far too much importance to the patterned one. It also sometimes looks like the second was an afterthought or that the budget ran out....See MoreOne hallway runner? or Two? or None?
Comments (27)The needlework art looks fab! I'm so happy to see someone decorating with these kinds of pieces. I have such fond memories of the women in my life creating them, and even made a few things myself over the years. I love to see them hanging on today's walls. Great choices!...See MoreRelated Professionals
