White Quartzite is in (photos)! need help w/ backsplash
Comments (40)jdknyc, this may be too late to help you, but I'll post it anyway in case you are still looking or someone else wants a darker BS to use with white quartzite. My designer recently recommended Nine Lives from the Crossville Color by Numbers collection. It is a medium-dark gray with bluish tones, and the sample we have really worked with the dark vein colors in the slabs we held it up to. I am not sure if we will use it since I pictured a lighter BS next to our walnut uppers. I think the Nine Lives would look great with your white cabinets and white quartzite. It costs under $4 sq ft (at least with my designer's discount). Here is a link that might be useful: 9 Lives...See Morewhite quartzite slab backsplash??
Comments (3)I just got my quartz back splash installed today - it matches my counters and fills the space between counter to cabinets. I got it because I didn't want to deal with grout and wiping down tile....See MoreWhich white granite and backsplash to go with my blue gray cabinets?
Comments (9)THANK YOU ALL for the great suggestions! I'm definitely going to go lighter for the countertops then! Showed all the comments to my hubby as well to convince him ;) At the warehouse now... just found out slab #3 (light gray and white) has a "smiley face" crack on it :/ I'll have to see if the fabricator can work around it. The "super white" looks super gray here. The frosty carrina looks great but still a little expensive for us :( Aprilneverends-You're so right about the movement on the cabinets! We had painted over builder's oak. That is a big factor that I'm considering when picking the movement on the countertop Aboxofcrayons-I love your cabinets! Is it the distressed wood look? I would love to see your kitchen once the countertops are installed! Oldbat2be- I have laminate right now and there are few burn spots on it too. I'm dying for something new, glossy, and durable :) Torreykm-We had our cabinets painted with a gray stain. I originally wanted a distressed wood or driftwood look. Our GC ended up painting it! We just left it then lol. I can find out which color and brand we used and I can post it here when I get back home :) I'll keep you guys posted! Thanks so much again!!!...See MoreIs this backsplash too busy for super white quartzite countertop?
Comments (21)I have it and love it. We did do a project with the man made and I regret it. Nothing compares to the natural stone. The super white has enough movement that you won’t even notice an etch or a stain. We’ve had ours and used them for 7 months and have had no issues SINCE we resealed them. Note we did have issues when we first got them. Had the fabricator buff them out and then resealed. And we resealed again and since then have had no issues. I had decided that we’d use the counters and if there was etching or staining we spend a couple of hundred dollars every few years to buff them out, but we haven’t had any issues! Get what you love. You’ll regret it if you don’t. Excuse mess....See MoreRookie Mom
